MGM+ has shared a sneak peek at its upcoming psychological drama, American Hostage, with new photos of Jon Hamm on set. The series also stars Giovanni Ribisi, Mireille Enos, Kristoffer Polaha, and William Jackson Harper. American Hostage is based on a true story about a kidnapping and the demand that a specific radio reporter, Fred Heckman, be allowed to interview the kidnapper. While a specific date hasn’t been set, the show is anticipated to debut this fall.

Showrunner Dario Scardapane recently told ScreenRant how Mike Colter made a surprise return as Luke Cage in the eighth episode of Daredevil: Born Again season 2. He explained the cameo came together quickly, originally as an idea for a future season, but ultimately worked perfectly as a closing moment for the current season, especially with the reunion between Luke Cage and Jessica Jones. Scardapane believes fans will be thrilled with the appearance and the team is very excited about the reaction.

Charlie Cox, speaking with Liam Crowley from ScreenRant about the upcoming season of Daredevil: Born Again, discussed the moment his character, Matt Murdock, publicly revealed himself as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. Cox said he was surprised by the decision, acknowledging it’s a turning point that can’t be undone easily—unless they introduce a complicated comic book plotline. He expressed enthusiasm for the bold move, praising Marvel’s approach of taking risks and figuring things out as they go. He feels it sets up a compelling storyline.

Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) in Daredevil: Born Again, discussed what impacts his character more – the loss of his wife or the loss of New York City’s faith in him – in a recent interview with Sean O’Connell.

As a critic, I have to say the contrast between these two characters was genuinely captivating. Seeing Jon Bernthal’s Punisher get his own series was a smart move, and the payoff when he reunited with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil was fantastic. Season one of Daredevil: Born Again really solidified their chemistry as one of the best duos the MCU has ever given us. While the film’s ending proved controversial, The Village is a well-crafted thriller with strong storytelling and captivating performances that deserves a second look.

William Golding’s novel, Lord of the Flies, has been adapted for the screen several times before, including films in 1963 and 1990, and a Filipino version in 1975. But the recent BBC limited series, directed by Thorne, was the first of its kind. It quickly became popular, according to data from FlixPatrol.

Data from FlixPatrol shows that Green Book is a very popular movie on Netflix. It became the third most-watched film in the U.S. on May 1st, right after the premieres of Swapped and Apex. Green Book stayed at number three for three days before moving down to number four on May 5th.

As a huge Star Wars fan, I remember the pressure surrounding The Force Awakens was immense.
