The two-part episode “Year of Hell,” from Voyager’s fourth season, really showed viewers the harsh realities of being stranded. While the show had always hinted at the challenges of survival, this episode put those struggles front and center. Many fans and critics consider “Year of Hell” the point where Star Trek: Voyager finally lived up to its initial concept.

The idea that He-Man is secretly Prince Adam wasn’t part of the original concept for the franchise. It was developed later and became well-known thanks to the 1980s cartoon. Interestingly, the first He-Man movie actually stayed truer to the initial plans. This makes He-Man’s history and the overall brand feel less connected to its roots compared to other popular franchises from the 80s.

While protagonists are usually adequate, characters like Killua Zoldyck and Vegeta demonstrate that true dramatic weight, emotional complexity, and rich storylines can often be found in those playing supporting roles – characters substantial enough to carry their own series.

Netflix’s new show, Mating Season, is quickly becoming popular in the US, currently ranking at number 6 on their Top 10 list (according to FlixPatrol). It’s also gaining traction internationally, reaching the Top 5 in countries like Jamaica, Hungary, and Lithuania. All ten episodes of the series were released on Netflix at once on May 22nd.

The combat in First Light is very different from IO Interactive’s earlier games, but it still feels true to the studio’s style. After creating the acclaimed HITMAN reboot trilogy, fans know IO Interactive excels at building detailed and believable environments for players to explore.

Following Nicolas Cage’s popular voice performance as Spider-Man in Across the Spider-Verse, this Prime Video series focuses on his character, Ben Reilly, a private detective in a different universe. The first season centers on a case that forces Reilly to become a superhero, known as The Spider, when a dangerous crime boss named Silvermane starts building an army of people with superpowers.

Stories often change characters, raise the stakes, and completely alter what we expect, forcing us to confront a new reality. Sometimes, the impact of a loss is more significant than the loss itself, leading to characters – and audiences – experiencing deep emotional and ideological shifts. When done well, these impactful moments stay with viewers, leaving lasting emotional impressions around the world.

The cancellation of Altered Carbon was a major disappointment for many. Netflix’s adaptation of Richard K. Morgan’s novel was a standout cyberpunk series, successfully blending futuristic detective stories, thought-provoking themes about humanity and technology, and exciting action. It was frustrating to see it end after just two seasons, as the show had a lot more story to tell. Luckily, fans of the genre might have a new favorite coming soon.

The second season of House of the Dragon concluded on August 4, 2024, which was nearly two years ago. At the end of the season, the Targaryens were preparing for war throughout Westeros. The finale showed armies gathering from across the land, creating anticipation for the battles to come, and season 3 is expected to finally deliver on that promise.

Although nothing is confirmed yet, fans of Resident Evil should definitely watch an event on June 5th – it sounds like that’s where we’ll hear the first news about what’s coming next for the series.
