Focusing on these main characters is understandable – they’re the most popular – but it unfortunately sidelines many others. Some are stuck repeating the same story beats, while others briefly reappear then vanish. It’s disappointing because these sidelined characters have potential and interesting backgrounds, but the franchise consistently underutilizes them.

One key difference in The Magicians was its choice to make the protagonist, Quentin Coldwater, a graduate student rather than a high schooler. This allowed the show to appeal to a more mature audience, unlike many fantasy series. Viewers who enjoyed realistic teen dramas like Euphoria or Skins were more likely to watch The Magicians than shows geared towards younger teenagers, such as Wednesday or Legacies.

As a big fan of The Handmaid’s Tale, I was really interested to hear what the showrunner shared about where June and Agnes’ story is heading. It’s fascinating to see the sequel focus on Hannah, who’s now known as Agnes in Gilead, and how she’s being raised with the expectation of becoming a Handmaid. The really heartbreaking part is she doesn’t even know June is her mother, not yet anyway. But the first season of The Testaments changed everything – she finally learned the truth! I’m so curious to see how she processes that and what it means for her future.

I’m really hooked on this story! It centers around a Jedi looking into some mysterious crimes, and it’s awesome because we get to see a former Padawan reconnect with her old Jedi Master. But what starts as a simple investigation quickly becomes something HUGE – they realize whatever’s going on could change everything, possibly the entire universe! It’s seriously exciting.

Superstore premiered on NBC on November 30, 2015, and centered around the lives of the employees at Cloud 9, a large retail store. The show featured a funny and talented cast, including America Ferrera, Ben Feldman, Lauren Ash, Nico Santos, Colton Dunn, Nichole Sakura, and Mark McKinney. Despite receiving positive reviews, many felt Superstore didn’t get the recognition it deserved and was better than other sitcoms set in the workplace.

Like other Magic: The Gathering crossover sets, the Star Trek Universes Beyond set will likely include powerful Legendary Creatures that players can use as their Commanders. Leaks have already revealed Captain Kirk as one of these, and more are expected to be announced soon.

Netflix’s new show, Mating Season, is quickly becoming popular in the US, currently ranking at number 6 on their Top 10 list (according to FlixPatrol). It’s also gaining traction internationally, reaching the Top 5 in countries like Jamaica, Hungary, and Lithuania. All ten episodes of the series were released on Netflix at once on May 22nd.
