It’s one thing to briefly disrupt everyday tasks, but quite another to interrupt someone deeply engaged in a game. The issue is particularly frustrating now because several highly anticipated games are being affected by server issues right as they launch.
The TV series Heroes was truly original. Beyond featuring a fantastic cast of rising stars – including Hayden Panettiere, Santiago Cabrera, Masi Oka, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Milo Ventimiglia, and Noah Gray-Cabey – the show had a clever concept. It centered around ordinary people discovering they had extraordinary powers and teaming up to stop the villain, Sylar (played by Zachary Quinto), from stealing those powers.
Parasyte: The Grey is a live-action series based on the well-known manga. It’s created by Yeon Sang-ho, who will also be working on the upcoming Parasyte: Tamiya alongside Ryu Yong-jae. The show features Shioli Kutsuna (known for her roles in Sanctuary and Deadpool 2) and is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2027.
As a horror fan, I’ve been completely hooked on Yellowjackets since it first landed on Showtime in 2021. Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, this series brilliantly weaves together two timelines: the immediate aftermath of a devastating plane crash that leaves a high school girls’ soccer team stranded in the Canadian wilderness, and the ripple effects of that trauma years later. We just finished season three – it came out in February 2025 – and unfortunately, Showtime has confirmed that season four will be the show’s last. It’s sad to see it end, but I’m eager to see how they wrap up this compelling, unsettling story.

This newer streaming service has quickly become one of the wealthiest, largely because it’s owned by Amazon. With Amazon’s resources, they can buy almost anything. This means more big-budget entertainment – think impressive TV shows, movies, and revivals of old favorites – which is good news for viewers, but concerning for those worried about fewer independent companies.
Jinwoo began as the weakest hunter, but rapidly grew stronger, quickly climbing the ranks to become an S-Rank hunter. He gained the ability to summon powerful shadows, eventually earning the title Shadow Monarch and gaining control over death. Even with all his power, Jinwoo isn’t unbeatable, and a few anime characters could potentially defeat him if they had the chance.
Apple TV has confirmed that The Morning Show will end after its fifth season, which is scheduled to arrive in 2027. The series, which premiered in 2019, was one of the first major shows on Apple TV and played a key role in launching the streaming service. Jennifer Aniston, a star and executive producer, has hinted that the final season will provide a fulfilling ending, as everyone involved knew from the start of production that it would be the show’s conclusion.
HBO’s series Big Little Lies was a turning point for television. Its incredibly popular cast of film stars showed other A-list actors that starring in high-quality TV shows could be a great career move. This paved the way for many other limited series and anthology shows on HBO, like Sharp Objects and Mare of Easttown, which also featured major movie stars.
