When the HBO sci-fi series Westworld debuted in 2016, it captivated audiences with its story about a theme park filled with lifelike androids. The show sparked a huge online community dedicated to unraveling its complex mysteries, though not all of those storylines received satisfying conclusions. After losing momentum, Westworld was canceled in 2022. Now, one of the writers from that show is working on a new horror project, alongside the former producer of the Arrowverse series.
The new series, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, is the first follow-up to The Big Bang Theory and catches up with familiar faces from the original show. Unlike The Big Bang Theory, which usually stayed realistic, this series dives into science fiction. The story begins after Sheldon, Leonard, and Howard’s special machine is destroyed, sending Stuart Bloom, played by Kevin Sussman, on an adventure through different universes. He’s joined by other supporting characters from the original series, including Barry Kripke (John Ross Bowie), Bert Kibbler (Brian Posehn), and Denise (Lauren Lapkus). You can now watch it on HBO Max instead of CBS.
According to Deadline, The Saviors will be released in theaters on March 26, 2027.
