The first season of the Netflix western Ransom Canyon centers on three families – the Kirklands, Collinses, and Fullers – as they compete for land ownership in the Texas Hill Country. While Eion Macken and Andrew Liner played key roles as Davis and Reid Collins in season one, news emerged in September that they won’t be part of the show’s cast for season two.

Even though Sherlock launched the careers of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, revisiting the show today doesn’t quite live up to the original excitement. The eighteenth issue of the Star Trek: Lower Decks comic came out on April 8th from IDW, wrapping up a storyline. During their adventure, the crew of the Cerritos unexpectedly encounters an Enterprise ship… with a crew of Ferengi! Captain Freeman is visibly shocked by this discovery, exclaiming it’s ‘the Ferengi Enterprise.’ Quog playfully responds, ‘We usually just say Enterprise, but… yeah, that’s right!’

Naoki Hamaguchi, the director of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, recently shared that he and Tetsuya Nomura have chosen between two potential titles for Part 3 and that development is progressing well. While video game development is always challenging and subject to change, things seem to be going smoothly with Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3.

While significantly less than the viewership of the original Stranger Things (its final season reached 133.3 million views), the animated series still had a strong start, placing it among the top 15 most-watched animated series debuts on Netflix.

Today’s moviegoers are tired of music biopics that just list an artist’s accomplishments. They want to see the struggles, complexities, and personal side of the story – something beyond the surface. The expectations for these films have definitely evolved.

With so many new sci-fi shows appearing on TV, some excellent ones haven’t lasted long. Amazon’s futuristic thriller The Peripheral was canceled after only one season, Westworld faded away despite a strong start, and the 12 Monkeys series didn’t get the attention it deserved. Back in 2021, Amazon Prime Video released a seven-episode anthology series that felt like a mix of Black Mirror and the thought experiment Pluribus.

Despite growing competition from online platforms, Shonen Jump is still thriving by embracing digital formats as more fans read manga online. With the recent news of an anime adaptation for Kagurabachi, it feels like Shonen Jump is starting a fresh, exciting chapter, continuing to lead the way in manga after nearly 60 years.

Though Spock and Kirk first met thanks to Nyota Uhura in season 2 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, their close friendship really blossomed in season 3. Kirk’s initial command of the USS Farragut, as seen in season 3, episode 6, “The Sehlat Who Ate Its Tail,” wouldn’t have gone well without Spock’s support.
