
There is both good and bad news for Mel Gibson’s Resurrection of the Christ.
Even though filming is finished, both parts of the biblical movie will be released later than planned. The first movie was originally scheduled for March 27, 2027, but will now come out on May 6, 2027—the date the second movie was supposed to premiere. This means the second part will now be released on May 25, 2028.
Gibson did give fans something to look forward to, sharing the first image from Resurrection of the Christ. The photo shows the actor standing on a grassy hillside, with a group of people walking behind him. You can see the image below.
