Based on the popular books by Lemony Snicket, A Series of Unfortunate Events aired from 2017 to 2019 and offers a uniquely dark and funny take on the classic orphan story. The show follows the unlucky Baudelaire children as they try to escape their villainous guardians – especially the scheming Count Olaf, played by Neil Patrick Harris – and survive in a world that seems determined to make their lives miserable. It’s a blend of spooky atmosphere and sharp, witty humor.

The show requires viewers to suspend disbelief, accepting unlikely coincidences and events that happen just a little too perfectly. While most of these plot conveniences are easy to miss when you’re caught up in the excitement, some become noticeable if you think about them too closely.

Kat Graham, who played Ross in the movie, said that some scenes, including the ones she filmed, had to be cut due to legal issues. Although her scenes didn’t make it into the final version of Michael, she noted that the filmmakers did their best to keep the story intact.
