When the first trailer for the show Lanterns was released, some dedicated Green Lantern fans weren’t happy with how Hal Jordan’s costume looked. A quick shot showed the suit hanging in his closet, and it appeared to be mostly brown and grey, rather than the classic all-green design. Some viewers even commented that the suit from the 2011 Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern movie looked better.

HBO has ordered a second season of the Harry Potter series well before the first season even airs this Christmas. However, the role of Ginny Weasley will be played by a different actress in Season 2. Gracie Cochrane, who played Ginny briefly in Season 1, will not be returning and the part is being recast.

It’s understandable to be scared of terrifying monsters like Rancors and Sarlaccs, but some of the more human-like alien species in Star Wars are still unsettling. This is either because they’re almost, but not quite, human – creating a strange, uneasy feeling – or because they remind us of creatures we already fear in the real world. While what’s scary is personal, some Star Wars aliens are definitely creepier than others.

It didn’t do well when it first came out, critics weren’t kind, but over the years it’s really found an audience and become something of a cult classic, which I totally get – it’s a visually stunning and unique film.

It’s getting tricky to follow the order of events in Disney’s Star Wars universe! Each new movie or show adds to the existing story in surprising ways. Characters who first appeared in older, Disney-owned shows are now important in the main Star Wars storyline. Plus, new characters are winning over fans and contributing to this iconic sci-fi franchise, which will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in February 2027.

Apple TV+’s Slow Horses is a fantastic British spy thriller that deserves a wider audience. The show has earned critical acclaim, including multiple Golden Globe nominations and two Primetime Emmy wins, and has become known as one of the best spy dramas on television. Starring Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb, it debuted in 2022 and quickly became a standout original series for Apple TV+. With five seasons already available and two more on the way, many Apple TV+ subscribers consider it a must-watch.

Guy Ritchie first gained attention with energetic British crime films like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) and Snatch (2000), and has since become a regular director of large-scale Hollywood productions. He continues to focus on action and thriller genres, with recent releases including Fountain of Youth (2025), The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (2024), and The Covenant (2023).

Kelly Reilly has been in the news lately, both for returning to her well-loved role as Beth Dutton in the new series Dutton Ranch, and for one of her previous roles being adapted into a TV show. She’s joined by Cole Hauser, who plays Rip Wheeler, bringing the popular couple back to screens.

I was so excited to see that Project Hail Mary is currently the number one movie people are renting on Amazon’s Premium Video On Demand service! As of May 18, 2026, it’s beating out a lot of other great films – the rest of the top ten includes titles like The Housemaid, The Devil Wears Prada, Avatar: Fire and Ash, Shelter, Greenland 2: Migration, Scream 7, Nuremberg, GOAT, and Hamnet.

James Gunn’s DC Universe is moving forward with a new TV series focusing on the Green Lantern Corps. The official trailer for the upcoming HBO drama, titled Lanterns, has just been released. You can watch it below.
