Sadie Sink, known for Stranger Things, is heading to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a role in July’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The success of Stranger Things came from its smart mix of up-and-coming young actors alongside more established and experienced performers, which helped build a realistic and complex world with relatable characters.

Most anime don’t become massive online sensations, but those in the shonen genre consistently achieve viral success. Exciting battles, unexpected plot twists, and emotionally powerful scenes can elevate a shonen anime from simple entertainment to a widely recognized cultural phenomenon across the internet.
From the start, Jamie Dutton was presented as the vulnerable member of the Yellowstone family – the son who desperately wanted to please everyone but seemed unable to handle pressure. Looking back at the final season, it’s clear that Jamie wasn’t actually a villain, but rather a convenient scapegoat. The Duttons needed someone to take the blame to protect themselves, and Jamie was chosen. This was a major misstep by John, Beth, and Kayce, and it leaves a lingering sense of regret even as the show expands with new spin-offs.
When the first trailer for the show Lanterns was released, some dedicated Green Lantern fans weren’t happy with how Hal Jordan’s costume looked. A quick shot showed the suit hanging in his closet, and it appeared to be mostly brown and grey, rather than the classic all-green design. Some viewers even commented that the suit from the 2011 Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern movie looked better.
It’s understandable to be scared of terrifying monsters like Rancors and Sarlaccs, but some of the more human-like alien species in Star Wars are still unsettling. This is either because they’re almost, but not quite, human – creating a strange, uneasy feeling – or because they remind us of creatures we already fear in the real world. While what’s scary is personal, some Star Wars aliens are definitely creepier than others.
HBO has ordered a second season of the Harry Potter series well before the first season even airs this Christmas. However, the role of Ginny Weasley will be played by a different actress in Season 2. Gracie Cochrane, who played Ginny briefly in Season 1, will not be returning and the part is being recast.
As a huge cinema fan, I remember being really excited for Speed Racer when it came out. Emile Hirsch played the lead, and the story followed him as he tried to protect his family’s racing business from this really shady businessman, E.P. Arnold Royalton, who was willing to do anything to win. The cast was amazing – Christina Ricci, Susan Sarandon, John Goodman, even Matthew Fox were all in it! It didn’t do well when it first came out, critics weren’t kind, but over the years it’s really found an audience and become something of a cult classic, which I totally get – it’s a visually stunning and unique film.
