She’s previously appeared in films like The Pope’s Exorcist, Young Woman and the Sea, and Extra Geography. Because the series plans to follow the characters over several years, Barwick will grow up alongside the rest of the cast, including Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger.

Having one actress play a character throughout a series creates a stronger, more consistent story than often seen in movies. In this case, it means Pansy Parkinson will have a much larger role, allowing fans to delve into her motivations and see more of her story, including her key actions during her fourth year at Hogwarts.
