Unlike other iconic lines from mob movies, this one perfectly foreshadows what’s to come, allowing viewers to experience the thrilling and dangerous world of organized crime for the next two hours.

The new animated film, The Sheep Detectives, is getting rave reviews, earning a 93% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Several well-loved films that many thought were complete stories are getting sequels this year, sparking a lot of discussion. Two of the most anticipated sequels for 2026 are Ready or Not 2 and The Devil Wears Prada 2. The success of Ready or Not 2 shows that sequels aren’t always a bad idea – if the filmmakers are inventive, they can be surprisingly good, and that’s a hopeful sign for the new Prada film as well.
Pixar’s Hoppers tells the story of Mabel, an animal enthusiast who gets a chance to try out new technology that lets her transfer her mind into a realistic robotic beaver. This allows her to talk directly with animals, and she soon makes incredible discoveries. Along the way, she befriends a charming beaver and must unite all the animals to protect themselves from a serious danger posed by humans.
The upcoming series, Lanterns, will star Aaron Pierre as John Stewart and Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan. The supporting cast includes Kelly MacDonald, Garret Dillahunt, Jason Ritter, Nicole Ari Parker, Ulrich Thomsen, and Nathan Fillion. Created by Damon Lindelof, Chris Mundy, and Tom King, the show is aiming for a realistic take on the DC universe, similar in style to True Detective and Slow Horses, and differs from the more fantastical approach of the upcoming Superman film.
