Currently, Season 9 of Rick and Morty has a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. While this score might change as more reviews come in, it’s the highest-rated season of the show so far. Previous seasons have received excellent scores, but none have reached 100%. Season 1 is the next highest with 97%, and Seasons 3 and 4 both scored 96%. This is a significant improvement over Season 8, which received a score of 93%.

In Mortal Kombat II, the fight to protect Earthrealm continues with returning and new combatants. Johnny Cage, played by Karl Urban, teams up with the heroes to prevent the evil Shao Kahn (Martyn Ford) from conquering the world. The film is based on the popular Mortal Kombat video game series.

When the sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale, titled The Testaments, was announced, many viewers weren’t thrilled. The Handmaid’s Tale had felt like a complete story, and it wasn’t clear that more content in that world was needed. However, the creators of The Testaments likely understood they needed to deliver a compelling story to justify the continuation and earn viewers’ attention. Fortunately, the series has become a standout success in 2026, exceeding expectations as episodes were released.

Ethan Hawke acted alongside Oscar Isaac and May Calamawy, playing the character Harrow, a devoted follower of the Egyptian god Ammit. Harrow believed in a harsh form of justice, punishing people for crimes they hadn’t yet committed. But, like many villains, his plan ultimately failed when he was stopped by the hero.

Hulu’s miniseries, Shōgun, is a visually stunning and intricately plotted drama that, despite only having ten episodes, feels as expansive as a much longer show. It doesn’t feel like it was created to simply follow in the footsteps of Game of Thrones, and that’s a good thing. This, along with standout performances from the cast, has allowed Shōgun to forge its own path, focusing on strong storytelling and beautiful visuals instead of catering to fan expectations, and it’s clearly worked.

Like Tony Soprano, these six complex characters are equally, if not more, willing to do whatever it takes to achieve their goals. This type of character appears in all kinds of stories—from fantasy to serious drama—and they generally lack the moral qualms that plagued Tony.

Rosamund Pike’s new comedy drama is now available on Netflix and has quickly become the platform’s most popular movie. It reached the top spot in just one day, according to FlixPatrol.

Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal of Iron Man was central to the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe during its first decade. Along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Iron Man led the story through the ‘Infinity Saga,’ which culminated in the 2019 film Avengers: Endgame. It actually started at number seven, so it’s been steadily climbing – a great sign people are really enjoying it.

The TV series Monster, which focuses on serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, immediately sparked controversy. Unlike many true crime shows that aim for a documentary feel, Monster took a more dramatic and fictionalized approach. While the series hasn’t been praised for its accuracy, it has become very popular, attracting a large audience and earning 23 Emmy nominations. A key reason for its success is the strong acting, with many considering Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story to be one of Evan Peters’ best performances.
