At the time, Star Trek was a massive franchise, especially thanks to Patrick Stewart’s portrayal of Captain Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation. The series continued with several movies, and while some weren’t big hits, they all played an important role in the show’s overall story. Tom Hardy joined the Star Trek universe in the often-overlooked film Star Trek: Nemesis, offering a glimpse of his future work.

This animated movie, like George Orwell’s classic book Animal Farm, explores themes of power, corruption, and the impact of technology. It tells the story of farm animals who rebel against their human owners, hoping to build a perfect society. However, the pigs eventually seize control and become oppressive rulers. This version introduces a new character, Lucky, a young piglet voiced by Gaten Matarazzo, who acts as the main character and helps viewers see the story in a fresh way. Unlike the original book’s dark ending, this film offers a more hopeful conclusion, told through Lucky’s eyes as he tries to determine if Napoleon or Snowball would be the better leader for the animals after the revolt.

The MCU has an incredible lineup planned for 2026, including the returns of beloved characters and huge crossover events fans have anticipated for years. From the conclusion of Daredevil: Born Again season two to the team-ups in Doomsday, there are plenty of exciting releases on the horizon.

When the actor tragically passed away, a lot of us Euphoria fans thought Fez would have to be written off the show, especially with how things ended for him in Season 2. But surprisingly, the show decided to keep him alive within the story, and honestly, a lot of viewers – myself included – aren’t happy about that choice.

While paranormal crime shows like The X-Files, Evil, and even Netflix’s Warrior Nun are common, focusing on law enforcement with a supernatural twist, military life on television isn’t often shown in the same way. We see miniseries like Netflix’s Boots that explore specific parts of military experience, but there aren’t many ongoing shows that follow a military ‘case-of-the-week’ format like traditional police procedurals.

In 2026, a second season of the animated Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will arrive, and Amazon and MGM are developing a live-action Spider-Noir series starring Nicolas Cage, who originally played the 1930s detective version of Spider-Man in the popular Spider-Verse animated films.

We haven’t seen a lot about Pokémon Winds & Waves yet, but I like what’s been revealed. The Pokémon Company gave us a first look at the new starter Pokémon in February for Pokémon Day, and announced the game will continue the open-world style of gameplay. It’s set in a completely new region made up of islands spread across a large ocean.
