Warning: SPOILERS ahead for Boston Blue Season 1, Episode 10!
Boston may have a new mayor in town!
The mid-season premiere of the show leaves the city’s future in question after Mayor Laughlin is arrested. Meanwhile, rookie officer Jonah Silver continues to investigate his father’s death and recover from a frightening incident. He’s also navigating a complex family life, led by his mother, Mae Silver, the District Attorney of Boston and a powerful figure in law enforcement. In a recent interview with Liam Crowley from ScreenRant, the actor who plays Jonah hinted at the Silver family gaining more control in the city, with his stepsister, Sarah Silver, potentially taking on a significant new role.
Scribner told viewers to expect significant and exciting changes in the second half of Boston Blue‘s first season, hinting that ‘barbecued chicken’ is a key element to watch for.
Expect some conflict as Mae takes on the District Attorney role. She has a lot of challenges ahead, and things will likely unfold in unexpected ways. We might also see Superintendent Silver involved somehow. There’s a lot to look forward to as the story develops.
Fans can expect to see more development for Jonah, the police officer, as he continues to work on controlling his anger. According to Scribner, despite his temper, Jonah is fundamentally a decent person with the potential to always make the right choices.
We’re seeing relationships blossom and family issues come to the forefront. He’s driven to prove himself as a capable and honest officer, wanting to be known for his actions, not just his family name. This need to prove himself will heavily influence his decisions. And honestly, there are some incredibly wild and exciting plotlines and action sequences coming up that I can’t wait for viewers to experience.
New episodes of Boston Blue air Fridays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
