CBS has unveiled the release date for Tracker season 4.
With the current season of the popular CBS show nearing its end, Justin Hartley’s character, Colter Shaw, is still working on individual cases while also getting closer to solving the long-standing mystery of his father, Ashton Shaw’s, murder – a case that has greatly impacted his life. The season finale of Tracker will bring back Jensen Ackles as Colter’s brother, Russell.
CBS has announced its plans for the 2026-2027 TV season, confirming that season four of Tracker will continue to air on Sundays at 9 PM.
The show is currently the most-watched primetime program in the US, competing only with NFL broadcasts. Lately, it’s been giving more attention to the characters who support the main hero, ‘Tracker.’ Recent episodes have especially focused on Reenie (played by Fiona Rene), a close friend and potential love interest of the main character, as she juggles personal challenges and new romantic connections.
The cast is changing up a bit! Chris Lee is now a series regular, having previously appeared as Randy, a tech expert and Bobby’s cousin. Eric Graise, who played Bobby, and Abby McEnany, who played Velma Bruin, both left the show after season 2. The storyline explained that Bobby was pursuing a new job, and Velma was going to reconnect with her ex, Teddi (Robin Weigert), who had left earlier at the end of season 1.
Even with significant changes to the show, including reduced recurring cast members leaving only Rene and Hartley as series regulars, it remains a ratings leader. It consistently performs well on television, averaging over 16 million viewers per episode when counting viewers across all platforms over 35 days.
The TV series Tracker is inspired by Jeffery Deaver’s popular novel, The Never Game. It follows Colter Shaw, a skilled survivalist who makes a living by finding missing people and claiming rewards. The show is executive produced by Hartley, Ken Olin, Elwood Reid, Connie Dolphin, Sharon Lee Watson, and Alex Katsnelson, and has been renewed for another season, becoming a key part of CBS’s programming.
Tracker season 3 airs Sundays at 9 PM ET on CBS.
