Okay, so I just finished this sci-fi thriller series with Aubrey Plaza, and honestly, it’s incredible from beginning to end. All three seasons are fantastic – each one got a ‘Certified Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes with 90% or higher! If you’re into shows that really mess with your head in a good way, you absolutely have to check this one out.
Created in 2017 by Noah Hawley, known for shows like Alien: Earth and Fargo, Legion is a unique addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s considered one of the most mind-bending and visually striking entries, alongside Doctor Strange and WandaVision. With its daring and original storytelling, it’s a standout sci-fi series for the streaming era.
Legion Is A Perfect Sci-Fi Thriller From Start To Finish
Legion is a fantastic, but often overlooked, sci-fi thriller featuring Aubrey Plaza, Dan Stevens, and Rachel Keller. The series centers on David Haller, the son of the famous Professor X and Gabrielle Haller, who initially believes he has schizophrenia, but soon realizes he possesses extraordinary abilities.
In the show Legion, Stevens plays David, the main character, who has spent time in and out of mental hospitals. While staying at a facility, he meets Lenny, played by Plaza, who struggles with substance abuse. Despite her challenges, Lenny’s cheerful and talkative personality provides David with some much-needed distraction.
When we first meet David in the show Legion, he seems detached from reality. But everything changes when he becomes fascinated by a new patient named Syd, played by Rachel Keller. Their unusual connection makes David question his own sanity, hinting that the voices and visions he’s been having might actually be real.
Legion is a captivating show with an intriguing story, unexpected twists, and excellent acting from Aubrey Plaza, Dan Stevens, and Jean Keller. If you’re eagerly awaiting season 2 of Alien: Earth, Legion is a great show to watch in the meantime. Both are mind-bending sci-fi thrillers with unexpected twists and a dreamlike quality, hallmarks of creator Noah Hawley.
