Ready Or Not 2 Gets Official Digital Release Date After $42M Box Office Run

The digital release date has been revealed for the horror film Ready or Not 2: Here I Come.

The horror-comedy Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, which came out in theaters in late March, will be available to rent or buy digitally on platforms like Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home starting May 5, 2026. You’ll be able to purchase physical copies on Blu-ray and DVD beginning June 16.

The digital release of Ready or Not 2 includes extra content, such as The Game Goes On, a four-part behind-the-scenes look at how the movie was made.

The special features include four segments: “Written in Blood,” where the filmmakers and actors discuss the differences between the first and second movies; “Casting the Chaos,” which highlights the actors; “Designed for Destruction,” a look at how the sets and effects were created; and “Blood, Guts and Practical Mayhem,” detailing the impressive practical effects.

The special features also include a guide to the game’s rules – specifically, the dangerous version of Hide and Seek – plus a blooper reel and two audio commentaries.

One commentary track includes directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, along with actors Samara Weaving and Kathryn Newton. The other features the directors, writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy, producers James Vanderbilt and Tripp Vinson, and editor Jay Prychidny.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who run the production company Radio Silence, have directed previous films including Scream (2022), Scream VI, and Abigail.

The 2019 horror film Ready or Not—which made $57.6 million and received an 89% approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes—centers around a bride named Grace MacCaullay. On her wedding night, she finds herself unexpectedly participating in a terrifying ritual with her new husband’s affluent family.

When Grace selected the Hide and Seek card, she was thrust into a dangerous and thrilling game that would alter her family’s life forever.

The film Ready or Not received nominations for several awards, including recognitions from the Directors Guild of Canada, the Golden Trailer Awards, the Hollywood Critics Association, and the Saturn Awards.

Seven years after the first film, the team behind Ready or Not—directors Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett, and writers Busick and Murphy—created a sequel, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. The new movie brings back Grace (played by Samara Weaving) for another dangerous game. This time, the target is Grace’s sister, Faith (Kathryn Newton), and Grace must fight to protect her, despite their difficult relationship.

The movie features Weaving, Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Nestor Carbonell, David Cronenberg, and Elijah Wood in its cast.

Similar to the original, Ready or Not 2 has earned a “Certified Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics giving it a 74% score and audiences loving it even more at 90% (compared to the first film’s 78% audience score). The sequel earned $42 million at the box office.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come will be released on digital platforms on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
