While Wonder Woman hasn’t been cast for the DC Universe yet, the franchise has shown it’s willing to introduce heroes before announcing who will play them in live-action movies. We saw this with Batman, who appeared in the animated series Creature Commandos before his live-action actor was revealed. This means Wonder Woman could potentially appear in the DCU at any time, even before a casting announcement.
Thrillers are known for strong characters and dramatic relationships, and they’ve given us some of the most memorable lines in movie history. Whether it’s the terrifying dialogue from Hannibal Lecter or the distinctive style of Quentin Tarantino, audiences have plenty of favorite quotes to choose from. While newer films often get the most attention, classic Hollywood thrillers also have their share of iconic moments. For example, the ending of The Maltese Falcon, a landmark film noir, is still considered perfect after eighty years.
I’ve always felt Tom Cruise deserved an Oscar! He was nominated three times in the ’90s – for Born on the Fourth of July, Jerry Maguire, and even as a supporting actor in Magnolia. But he kept losing to some really tough competition – Daniel Day-Lewis, Geoffrey Rush, and Michael Caine, all incredible actors. Honestly, it’s been a while since he was nominated as an actor himself. He finally got one recently, but it was as a producer when Top Gun: Maverick was nominated for Best Picture, which was great, but I’m still hoping he gets recognized for his acting soon!
Things have continued to get worse for the characters in From. In season 2, the creature known as Smiley (Jamie McGuire) appeared to be killed, but he shockingly returned in season 3 after it was revealed Fatima Hassan (Pegah Ghafoori) had been carrying him as a baby. To start season 3, the monsters brutally killed Tian-Chen Liu (Elizabeth Moy) right before Sheriff Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau)’s eyes.
The show feels incomplete without Harry Bosch. Unfortunately, Netflix doesn’t have the rights to use the character, and it’s unlikely Prime Video, which currently features Bosch in the ‘Ballard’ series, would allow him to return. Over the last four seasons, the show has essentially tried to fill the void by focusing on other characters.
Finding these game demos can take a little effort, especially with so many new games being added to the store every day. However, there are still a lot of great free demos available. For example, you can play a demo for one upcoming game on Steam now, even before it’s officially released in Early Access, and it’s completely free.
Early Disney+ series like WandaVision, Hawkeye, Loki, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier featured popular Marvel characters. Meanwhile, Star Wars has focused so much on streaming shows that it hasn’t released a movie in theaters since The Rise of Skywalker. Disney even released the Marvel film Black Widow in theaters and on Disney+ at the same time, which led to a legal dispute with its star, Scarlett Johansson.
Even the best games have flaws. Sometimes they start strong but lose momentum, either because the quality declines or they simply become too long. Other times, a game maintains its initial energy and excitement all the way through to the end.
I think Charlie Cox really showed what he can do with his role in the 2021 series, Kin. While Daredevil definitely made him a household name, Kin was where he really got to display his depth as an actor. He plays Michael Kinsella, a man trying to turn his life around after getting out of prison, and it’s a really complex and compelling performance.
The series, Fate/Extra Last Encore, was made by the team behind Puella Magi Madoka Magica – Akiyuki Shinbo and Yukihiro Miyamoto – and Fate’s original creator, Kinoko Nasu. While set in the virtual world of SE.RA.PH, the show didn’t rely on typical virtual reality tropes. Instead, the animation studio Shaft crafted something unique and deserving of more attention from fans.
