Hulu is known for its popular shows, and its political thriller is a standout success. Many viewers consider it a great follow-up to the series Lost, sharing similar elements of mystery, flashbacks, and a focus on survival. The good news is that the show has been renewed for a second season.
The show Paradise quickly became a hit after its debut on January 26, 2025, leading Hulu to renew it the following month. Now, after receiving multiple Emmy nominations – including a nod for Best Drama Series – Paradise is confirmed to return. According to creator and executive producer Dan Fogelman, Season 2 will premiere on February 23, 2026, with the first three episodes dropping at once.
At CCXP in São Paulo, Brazil on Saturday, Fogelman unveiled the first artwork and a sneak peek of the upcoming project. Sterling K. Brown, the show’s main star, also participated in the presentation.
Okay, so the new teaser dropped, and it looks like Special Agent Collins, played by Brown, is back for Season 2. He’s still desperately searching for his wife, and it seems she didn’t quite make it inside that massive dome that saved everyone else. It’s a really intriguing setup – clearly, her fate is a major part of the new season’s mystery.
Okay, so the new teaser drops us right into the thick of it – Xavier is reeling from a plane crash and immediately starts searching for his wife. It looks like Season 2 isn’t just about surviving the aftermath of whatever massive apocalypse happened, but also about unraveling the mystery of how anyone survived. And, crucially, it seems they’re going to dig deeper into the secrets of that bunker we saw at the end of last season – which, honestly, I’m really excited about. It’s promising a lot of answers, and a lot more questions!
Season 2 features a talented cast including Julianne Nicholson, Enuka Okuma, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV, and Charlie Evans, alongside returning stars James Marsden, Thomas Doherty, and Jon Beavers, in addition to Brown and Woodley.
Following the events of Season 1, the story expands to show what’s happening in the world beyond the bunker. Meanwhile, inside, a new power structure takes hold. Xavier ventures out to find his wife, Teri, making both friends and enemies along the way.
Paradise Season 1 Was a Huge Hit
The first season of this political science fiction thriller was a hit with both critics and viewers. Critics gave it an 86% ‘Fresh’ rating, praising it as a thought-provoking and ambitious show that successfully reunited Sterling K. Brown with its creator, Dan Fogelman, even if it felt a bit packed with ideas.
The creators previously made the popular and emotional drama This Is Us. Their new show also resonated with viewers—Season 1 earned an 84% approval rating and quickly became a hit on streaming platforms.
Sterling K. Brown hinted that Season 2 will expand the world of the show. He said viewers will see what’s happening both outside the bunker and inside, now that Xavier is gone.
He went on to explain that a clash happens when people with different experiences connect – like someone returning after being away and comparing their life to what’s changed at home. He wondered what interesting or unexpected things might happen when those two perspectives meet.
Paradise is streaming on Hulu. Season 2 premieres on Feb. 23.
