As a huge Marvel fan, I’m not surprised to see that the three Tom Holland Spider-Man movies – No Way Home, Far From Home, and Homecoming – are all currently in the Top 10 most-watched films on Disney+. With Brand New Day coming soon, it’s a great time to revisit these MCU adventures! And it’s not just Spider-Man, either – lots of other Marvel movies are doing really well on the platform right now.
Three MCU Spider-Man movies rank high on Disney+ movies chart
As of April 20th, Spider-Man: No Way Home is the most popular movie on Disney+, across all titles.
FlixPatrol’s movie list currently ranks Spider-Man: Homecoming at number two and Spider-Man: Far from Home at number four. The rest of the top ten includes Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, Zootopia 2, The Devil Wears Prada, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Guardians of the Galaxy, Iron Man, and Deadpool & Wolverine.
Notably, the data from FlixPatrol isn’t necessarily complete, but it does offer a broader picture.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is the latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man series. Released in 2021, it earned an impressive $1.9 billion worldwide (according to Box Office Mojo). Critics and audiences both loved it, as reflected by its 93% rating on the Tomatometer and 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
As a big movie fan, I recently read a review of the latest Spider-Man film, and Luke Y. Thompson from SuperHeroHype pointed out something I think a lot of us will relate to. He said while it might not be a movie you’ll want to watch over and over again like the first two, it’s still incredibly enjoyable while you’re watching it – packed with all sorts of fun moments!
As a fan, it was incredible to see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men finally swing into the Marvel Cinematic Universe! It felt like a dream come true to have those versions of the hero join the current one.
The earlier Spider-Man movies in the series, Homecoming and Far From Home, were also big successes with both critics and audiences. Spider-Man: Homecoming earned $880 million worldwide and received a 92% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Spider-Man: Far From Home did even better, grossing over $1.1 billion with a 91% Rotten Tomatoes score.
Jon Watts directed the first three Spider-Man movies. For the next film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Destin Daniel Cretton takes over as director. It’s scheduled to be released in US theaters on July 31, 2026.
