Later, he became famous for his chilling portrayal of the Joker in Tim Burton’s Batman, redefining how comic book villains are played in movies. Throughout his career, Nicholson continued to impress, whether as the ruthless crime boss Frank Costello in Martin Scorsese’s The Departed or in the touching role of Garrett Breedlove alongside Shirley MacLaine in Terms of Endearment.

The film, created by , who moved from acting to producing and directing after their popular CW show finished, did well in theaters. Despite some controversy and behind-the-scenes difficulties, it was a hit with viewers. You can still stream It Ends With Us on Netflix, but it will be removed on June 8th.
