A new television season is almost here, and Fox has a strong set of shows planned. Networks are already gearing up for the 2025-2026 season, starting production on many of their scripted programs. Unlike streaming shows, network television has a traditional schedule, meaning that returning favorites are guaranteed to air in the fall or winter.
CBS, NBC, and ABC have announced their fall 2026 lineups. CBS is offering a blend of new series and reliable, long-running dramas. NBC’s schedule heavily features popular franchises like One Chicago and Law & Order. ABC is starting the season with its established hits, including 9-1-1 and Grey’s Anatomy. And for Fox, fans will be happy to hear that many of their favorite shows are returning soon.
Fox’s Fall 2026 Schedule Is All About Established Shows
As a Fox viewer, I’m really excited about what they have planned for fall 2026! It looks like they’re bringing back a lot of shows we already love. I can’t wait for more of the newer hits like season two of Best Medicine and season three of Doc. And of course, it wouldn’t be Fox without classics like The Simpsons, which is heading into its 38th season! Animal Control will also be back for a fifth season. Plus, they’re mixing in fun game shows – another run of Celebrity Weakest Link and the sixth season of The Floor. It’s great to have so many different options when I settle in to watch TV at night.

Fox is well-known for its sports programming, with popular shows like Fox Sports Saturday, Fox College Football Friday, and NFL on Fox. Notably, Fox is starting its 2026-2027 TV season earlier than other networks. While most shows on CBS, NBC, and ABC won’t begin until early October, Fox plans to have its programs premiering before the end of September.
What Fox Shows Have Been Delayed To The Midseason
Like other networks, Fox is holding back several shows until later in the season. These include returning favorites such as Murder in a Small Town and Memory of a Killer, as well as animated comedies like American Dad!, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, and Krapopolis. Notably, Fox has also delayed the premiere of its highly anticipated new series, the Baywatch revival starring Stephen Amell, until mid-season. Completing Fox’s winter lineup is The Interrogator, a spy thriller hosted by Stephen Fry.
It’s currently unclear when these shows will begin airing. While Fox has announced its fall 2026 schedule, it hasn’t yet revealed dates for its midseason programming. However, the lineup for 2027 appears to feature more scripted series than the first half of the year.
