Season 2 of X-Men ’97 is now available, and it shows a big change in Professor X’s vision for the future. Throughout the series, Professor X has always believed humans and mutants could live together peacefully. But with growing fear and mistreatment of mutants, and recent heartbreaking events, Xavier and the X-Men are now taking a different approach.

“The High Ground” is notable as one of the first episodes to truly focus on Dr. Beverly Crusher, giving actress Gates McFadden a rare chance to shine early in the series. The episode’s focus on political issues naturally highlights her compassionate nature as a doctor. All of these elements make “The High Ground” an important episode in the history of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

A new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday came out this week, giving fans their first glimpse of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom – and a preview of his voice performance. The trailer also features the different teams that will appear in the movie, such as the Avengers, New Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, along with characters like Loki (played by Tom Hiddleston) and Captain America (Chris Evans).

I was so excited when The Christophers finally came out in theaters on April 10th! It opened alongside films like You, Me & Tuscany and Beast, but I knew I had to see this one. It’s a really clever, darkly funny crime story with amazing performances from Ian McKellen and Michaela Coel. It came just a year after Soderbergh’s Black Bag, and just like that one, I thought The Christophers was fantastic. If you didn’t get a chance to see it in cinemas, don’t worry – it’ll be available to stream in just a few weeks, and I highly recommend checking it out!

Viewers in the U.S. are watching 21 Jump Street again on Apple TV. The show has become increasingly popular over the last three days, moving from number 22 to number 10 on the platform’s charts. It currently ranks behind other hit shows such as House, Reacher, and ALF, according to FlixPatrol.

The East Palace is a popular dark fantasy series that launched in 17 countries on July 22nd. While it briefly reached the Top 10 in the U.S. on July 21st – landing at number 10 before quickly dropping out – it became the most popular title in Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, and several other countries.

Since its theatrical release on June 3rd, Scary Movie 6 has already proven to be a financial success, and all digital rentals and purchases are now contributing to its profits.

The incredibly lifelike character of Grogu, Din Djarin’s foundling, was brought to life using both practical effects – like a puppet – and computer-generated imagery. He felt as genuine on screen as the human actors. It would have been hard to imagine seeing a creature from Yoda’s species as a main character in a live-action movie just years ago. Interestingly, the entire The Mandalorian and Grogu series started with one scene in 2002’s Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, which director George Lucas considered his biggest gamble.

Throughout his successful career, director Christopher Nolan has explored many different types of films – from sci-fi like Interstellar and action with Tenet, to the superhero world of The Dark Knight Trilogy. Having recently finished work on The Odyssey, tackling a new genre would be an exciting opportunity for him.
