I’m so excited about Kristin Kreuk’s new comic book series with Titan Comics! From what I’ve heard, it’s going to be a five-issue run that’s a really fun mix of historical settings, funny moments, and genuinely creepy horror – sounds amazing!
Starting May 1st, Tubi will offer the film Wrath of Man for free streaming. Released in 2021, the movie was co-written and directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Jason Statham as ‘H’, a new cash-truck driver who unexpectedly stops a robbery. While critics had mixed reactions to the film, audiences loved it and it performed well in theaters, proving that audiences still enjoy collaborations between Ritchie and Statham.
It might not be perfect, but having something new is a good start. These days, you have to appreciate the small victories, and a new Star Wars is definitely one of them!
As a huge sci-fi fan, I was really excited when Netflix adapted Richard Morgan’s Altered Carbon novels. They cast Joel Kinnaman – who I thought was great in Suicide Squad – as the lead, and it totally delivered on the cyberpunk aesthetic. Think neon-lit streets, incredible futuristic tech, and a really fascinating concept: what if you could achieve a kind of immortality by transferring your consciousness? The story also has this cool thread of rebels fighting against a super-rich, powerful elite, which just adds another layer to everything. Honestly, Altered Carbon is a fantastic show if you’re into that kind of thing.
As a big NCIS fan, it’s been wild to see how much the whole franchise has changed lately! They’ve been ordering spinoffs left and right, and CBS has been trying some interesting new things with shows like NCIS: Sydney, NCIS: Origins, and bringing back Tony and Ziva. But next fall, they’re going back to what feels like the classic NCIS formula with NCIS: New York, and I’m so excited LL Cool J is returning as Sam Hanna! It’s a shame though, because even before it’s aired, people are already pointing out a pretty major plot hole that could really hurt the show.
By 2026, several popular fantasy series, including Outlander and The Boys (both with plans for spin-offs), will have concluded. Many more are gearing up for their final seasons, with some expected this year. While a few shows have already been renewed for future seasons, and others are waiting for confirmed release dates, viewers can still look forward to a variety of fantasy options to suit different preferences.
At CinemaCon, Marvel Studios, along with directors the Russo Brothers and stars Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans, debuted the official trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. The trailer also gave fans their first look at Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal of Doctor Doom.
With the current TV season wrapping up, networks are planning their fall lineups. CBS has already announced its schedule, but others are still deciding which shows to renew or cancel. NBC has officially ordered another season (season 28) of Law & Order: SVU, following hints from Ice-T that it was happening. However, Law & Order: Organized Crime starring Chris Meloni will end after its fifth season.
The third season of House of the Dragon is scheduled to debut on HBO in June 2026, continuing the intense battle between Targaryen family members for control of the Iron Throne. Interestingly, many of the key characters in Season 3 have a direct connection to the character Egg, who appears in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
Fans of the Punisher are getting a new special featuring Jon Bernthal reprising his role as Frank Castle, and it’s coming to Disney+. After some anticipation, Bernthal announced on Instagram on March 24th that the special is called The Punisher: One Last Kill and will be available to stream on Disney+ starting May 12th.
