Alongside the iconic Superman, several other DC heroes were introduced, such as Mr. Terrific, Hawkgirl, Metamorphosis, and Guy Gardner. Gardner marks the beginning of the Green Lanterns in the DC Universe, and two new Lanterns will appear in the 2026 film, Lanterns.

Despite being on the air for over 25 years, Family Guy has only had one spin-off series: The Cleveland Show, which focused on Cleveland Brown and ran from 2009 to 2013. Plans are in motion for a new Stewie series to debut on Fox in the 2027-28 TV season, with episodes becoming available on Hulu and Disney+ the next day. The show will center around Stewie after he’s kicked out of his preschool and has to attend a less-than-stellar new one.
Dr. Kay Scarpetta, played by Nicole Kidman, is a forensic pathologist who relies on cutting-edge technology to solve complex crimes. The series also stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Ariana DeBose, Bobby Cannavale, and Simon Baker. All eight episodes of Scarpetta were released simultaneously, and the first season currently holds an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
As a huge sci-fi fan, I still get upset thinking about Firefly. It was brilliant, but tragically cancelled after just 14 episodes. Luckily, we got the movie Serenity in 2005, which was a fantastic way to wrap things up and felt just as good as the show itself. But honestly, it’s been years, and we’re still hoping for another series to continue the story!
