Noah Wyle, star and executive producer of The Pitt, recently told Variety that the show won’t have such long gaps between seasons when it returns next year. Instead of jumping ahead ten months, the new season will continue the story within the same year – specifically, during winter. So, while previous episodes featured injuries from heat and fireworks, the next installments will focus on cases caused by the dangers of cold weather.

As a huge Scrubs fan, I always loved how the show would dive into JD’s fantasies, but it was so much more than just what he was thinking. Those sequences gave us a peek inside the heads of all the characters, and they were usually quick, though sometimes they’d go on and on. They were wonderfully wacky, and that contrast was brilliant because Scrubs could also be incredibly heartfelt. Now that the show is back after all these years, the fantasies have been a bit less frequent, and they weren’t quite as… out there as they used to be – until recently, that is!

Maxima debuted in Action Comics #645 in 1989, created by Roger Stern and George Perez. She was the queen of Almerac, a powerful empire with a history where leaders proved themselves through fighting. Following her culture’s traditions, she wanted a strong man to have a child with. Hearing about Superman and discovering they were genetically compatible, she came to Earth hoping he would be the one. However, Superman wasn’t interested in a relationship with a queen who ruled through force.

Opening in theaters on November 7, 2025, this R-rated drama features Sydney Sweeney as Christy Martin, a celebrated professional boxer. The film tells the story of Martin’s career, charting her rise to fame as a boxing icon in the 1990s, and also depicts the harrowing 2010 attempted murder by her husband and former coach, James V. Martin.

Surprisingly, the most realistic depictions of psychopathy aren’t usually found in horror movies. These characters typically show traits like a complete lack of empathy, an inflated ego, a tendency to manipulate and lie, impulsive actions, and a disregard for rules and social norms. Basically, they understand emotions, but don’t feel them, and they exploit this to get what they want. In film, these characters are often portrayed accurately.

Founded in 1912, Universal is a historic film studio with over a century of experience. They’re responsible for some of the most successful movie franchises ever made, including Fast & Furious (over $7.3 billion), Jurassic Park (over $6.8 billion), Despicable Me (over $5.6 billion), and Shrek (over $4 billion). They also have another massive franchise that’s gaining popularity on streaming services, though it doesn’t currently rank among the top 20 highest-grossing.

Anime features a huge variety of devil characters, ranging from classic horned demons to those who hide their true nature, and even some explicitly named Satan. These characters are often incredibly powerful, and a few are so strong they could potentially cause global destruction if they were real.

Bradner Lawson originally appeared in a Star Wars comic book featuring Darth Maul. He’s a detective working on the planet Janix, and now he’s making his first television appearance. The character is brought to life by Wagner Moura, the Oscar-nominated actor who starred in the 2025 Brazilian film The Secret Agent. Matt Michnovetz, an executive producer on Maul – Shadow Lord, recently spoke with MovieWeb about casting Moura. He explained that it was Moura’s insightful take on the character during discussions that ultimately convinced the team he was the right fit.

Jason Statham stars in and produces the upcoming action film Mutiny, reuniting with director Jean-François Richet, who previously helmed the 2023 film Plane. The cast also includes Annabelle Wallis, known for Peaky Blinders and Malignant, Jason Wong (Wrath of Man, The Gentlemen), along with Roland Møller, Arnas Fedaravičius, and Adrian Lester.
