As reported by Deadline, the movie earned $34.5 million on its opening day, April 1st, making it the biggest Wednesday debut for any film released in April.

This score is comparable to the previous one, but unfortunately, it’s even lower. Despite this, it became one of the most controversial scores of 2026, as many viewers actually enjoyed it.

(Spoiler alert: HBO chose Dominic McLaughlin to play Harry Potter.)

As a huge fan of The Boys, I recently read that Eric Kripke, the show’s creator, has a pretty strict rule about the show’s world-building. Apparently, from the very beginning, he’s made a point of completely avoiding any mention of Marvel or DC comics – no Easter eggs, no nods, nothing. It’s interesting to know how deliberate that choice was, and it’s definitely shaped the show’s unique identity as we head into the final season.

Warner Bros. revealed a new documentary called Finding Harry: The Craft Behind the Magic on April 2nd. It will premiere on HBO on April 5th and features exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone film. They also released a trailer for the documentary.
