Just four days after it began streaming, My Royal Nemesis is a hit around the globe. The new series My Royal Nemesis, which began streaming on May 8th, is currently the most popular non-English show on Netflix worldwide. It earned 3.9 million views between May 4th and 10th, surpassing other series like If Wishes Could Kill, Sold Out on You, Straight to Hell season 1, The Chestnut Man: Hide and Seek, Glory season 1, Envious season 4, Thank You, Next season 3, Flunked season 1, and The Chestnut Man season 1.

The show features a talented cast including Lim Ji-yeon, Heo Nam-jun, Jang Seung-jo, Lee Woong-jae, Kim Min-seok, Lee Se-hee, Kim Hae-sook, Baek Ji-won, Oh Min-ae, Park Jin-woo, Chae Seo-an, Yoon Joo-sang, Yoon Byung-hee, Jung Young-joo, Baek Eun-hye, Jung Jae-kyung, Kim Gye-rim, Oh Man-seok, Jeong Jae-hyeok, Shin Jeong-won, and Kim Hyun.

Currently, My Royal Nemesis has only one review on Rotten Tomatoes, meaning it doesn’t have an overall score. Monica Yadav from the Hindustan Times gave the show a rating of three out of five stars, and wrote:

As a big fan of fantasy shows, especially K-dramas, ‘My Royal Nemesis’ definitely looks like a lot of the time travel and reincarnation stories I’ve seen recently – think something like ‘The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract’ from 2023. But what really grabbed me wasn’t the visuals, it was how complicated and morally gray everything is. It’s not a simple story of good versus evil, and I found that really refreshing.

Netflix has become a leading platform for both fantasy shows and Korean dramas, with popular series like Squid Game, Kingdom, All of Us Are Dead, and The Glory. Its newest offering, My Royal Nemesis, builds on this success, continuing to deliver both genres to a wide audience.
