Prime Video’s 10 Perfectly Rated Shows On Rotten Tomatoes

Amazon’s Prime Video began offering original series in November 2013, and has since produced many popular and critically praised shows. However, very few of these shows have earned a perfect rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Even the best shows on Prime Video, which often outperform Netflix and other streaming services, rarely get a perfect score from critics. It’s unusual for any TV series to receive universally positive reviews; usually, at least one critic will have something negative to say, bringing the show’s Rotten Tomatoes score down to the high nineties.

Despite everything, a small number of shows consistently receive widespread critical acclaim, managing to stay exceptionally well-made. While these shows aren’t always the biggest hits, they’re generally very strong, and especially well-regarded by television critics who tend to agree on their quality.

Prime Video boasts a strong collection of critically acclaimed shows, with many considered modern classics and one frequently hailed as one of the greatest TV shows ever made. What sets Prime apart from other streaming services is its diverse range of top-rated original series, notably featuring shows from all over the world – including a remarkable three originating from Australia.

10. The Family Man

2019–Present

As a huge cinema fan, I recently discovered The Family Man, and it’s really grabbed me. It’s an Indian action thriller that does a fantastic job of mixing classic spy story elements with a really cool, modern, and somewhat dark visual style, all while throwing in some clever, dry humor. The show centers around an Indian intelligence agent who works for the NIA – basically, the national investigation agency – and it’s fascinating to watch him juggle the high stakes of his job with trying to maintain a normal family life.

What really grabbed me about this show is how it balances intense, ripped-from-the-headlines stuff – think high-stakes counterterrorism and global conflicts – with a really relatable family drama. Manoj Bajpayee plays a guy constantly juggling dangerous missions and a messy home life – a struggling marriage, rebellious teenagers, and a whole lot of secrets he’s keeping from his loved ones. Honestly, it’s this combination that makes it so compelling, because it’s often just as funny as it is thrilling. It’s not just action; it’s life, and that’s what hooked me.

9. The Mighty Nein

2025–Present

Even though it just launched in November 2025, The Mighty Nein is already proving to be a success. The animated series came together easily because it’s based on the popular second campaign of Critical Role, the well-known Dungeons & Dragons web series, and many of the original voice actors returned for the project.

Despite only just beginning, The Mighty Nein is quickly establishing itself as one of the best fantasy shows available on Prime Video, and it’s adding exciting new layers to beloved characters. It seems likely this series will become a classic for Dungeons & Dragons fans, demonstrating just how widely enjoyable the game can be.

8. With Love

2021–2023

With Love is a standout romantic comedy that goes beyond typical storylines to create a truly charming and heartwarming experience. The show focuses on the romantic lives of siblings Lily and Jorge Diaz, who come from a Mexican-American family. Its unique, episode-by-episode format allows for a deeper understanding of the characters and their relationships.

With its heartwarming holiday setting, With Love is a great choice for watching around Thanksgiving or Christmas, but it’s enjoyable anytime. Sadly, Prime Video cancelled the show after just two seasons in 2023, but all 11 episodes are exceptionally well-made.

7. The Narrow Road to the Deep North

2025

With a cast that rivals many Hollywood films, The Narrow Road to the Deep North truly stands out. Featuring leads Jacob Elordi and Odessa Young, alongside acclaimed actors like Olivia DeJonge, Ciarán Hinds, Essie Davis, and Simon Baker, this drama series boasts an incredibly talented ensemble.

This beautifully acted film features a sweeping love story and a fresh take on World War II. Based on Richard Flanagan’s award-winning novel, The Narrow Road to the Deep North is a compelling and captivating watch – perfect for a weekend of viewing.

6. Bosch: Legacy

2022–2025

Even though the finale of Bosch: Legacy sparked a lot of debate, the show still successfully carries on the spirit of the original Bosch, which helped launch Prime Video in 2014. Titus Welliver delivers a fantastic performance as Harry Bosch, and Madison Lintz truly shines as his daughter, Maddie.

I have to say, I was really impressed with the latest installment in the Bosch universe. We see Maddie taking her first steps as a police officer, even though she’s still wrestling with the family legacy. And while characters like Honey Chandler feel like they’re still finding their footing, Maggie Q’s Ballard is already a standout. Right now, it’s easily the strongest show in the franchise – and that perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes feels completely justified. It’s got the potential to even eclipse Legacy before long.

5. Deadloch

2023–Present

Prime Video’s new Australian series, Deadloch, is a captivating murder mystery created by Kate McCartney and McLennan. They handle the complex plot with skill, delivering both suspense and plenty of laughs, as if they’ve been making shows like this for years.

The second season of Deadloch shows the show isn’t a fluke, and there are still many more funny and unusual crime-solving adventures to tell with the characters of Dulcie Collins and Eddie Redcliffe. Luckily, Prime Video agrees and is likely to continue the series.

4. The Devil’s Hour

2022–Present

Featuring Peter Capaldi, known from Doctor Who and The Thick of It, The Devil’s Hour is a standout thriller on Prime Video. It’s a uniquely unsettling series that realistically portrays a social worker’s battles with mental health, all while exploring strange, supernatural events.

Created by writer Tom Moran, The Devil’s Hour has been consistently compelling for its first two seasons, largely thanks to Jessica Raine’s captivating performance. While it hasn’t yet received widespread recognition, the show is quickly gaining a devoted following and becoming hard to miss.

3. Class of ’07

2023

One of the best shows Prime Video offered in 2023, Class of ‘07 is a hilarious and relentlessly funny survival story. It takes the over-the-top physical comedy seen in movies like Bridesmaids and Trainwreck and pushes it even further. Starring Australian actors Emily Browning and Caitlin Stasey, this limited series is incredibly sure of its comedic style, and rightfully so.

The show starts with a sudden, unexpected disaster happening during a high school reunion. When it’s really good, it feels a lot like the movie Shaun of the Dead – and that’s saying something! It truly earns that comparison.

2. The Legend of Vox Machina

2022–Present

Right from the start, The Legend of Vox Machina sets itself apart from typical fantasy cartoons, promising a unique adventure. It’s one of the best adult animated series currently available, and further proves how much Prime Video benefits from its partnership with Critical Role and their fantasy storytelling.

Set in the imaginative world of Exandria, created by Matthew Mercer for his Dungeons & Dragons game, Vox Machina is the series that first introduced the characters and setting later explored in The Mighty Nein. The show stands out for its clever writing, talented voice actors, and beautiful animation, all of which pay homage to the Dungeons & Dragons source material.

1. Fleabag

2016–2019

Many consider Fleabag to be the best series ever released on Prime Video in the US, and it’s likely to remain Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s most celebrated work. The show is packed with hilarious scenes, surprising turns, and brilliant acting, making it a must-watch for everyone. It’s also incredibly easy to watch all in one go.

Despite feeling like a sitcom, Fleabag tells a surprisingly complete and well-structured story over its two seasons. Centered around one of the most memorable and well-written characters in television history, it remains a standout achievement for Prime Video, even seven years after its finale.
