What Happens in Hoppers?
I just saw Pixar’s new film, Hoppers, and it’s fantastic! It’s about this woman named Mabel who absolutely loves animals. She gets a chance to try out some incredible new tech that lets her transfer her mind into a super-realistic robotic beaver! That allows her to actually talk to animals, and she makes some amazing discoveries. She quickly becomes friends with a really charming beaver, and together they have to unite all the animals to face a big danger caused by humans. It’s a really heartwarming and exciting movie!
Daniel Chong, the director of We Bare Bears: The Movie, brings us Hoppers, a new animated film. The story was created by Chong and Jesse Andrews, who also wrote the script. The movie boasts a talented voice cast including Piper Curda as Mabel, along with Bobby Moynihan, Dave Franco, Eduardo Franco, Kathy Najimy, Vanessa Bayer, and Meryl Streep.
The movie earned $368.3 million at the box office with a production cost of $150 million, putting it right around the point of making a profit. Because it’s still showing in theaters, it’s expected to become even more financially successful.
The film has received overwhelmingly positive feedback, earning a 94% ‘Certified Fresh’ rating from critics based on 220 reviews, and a 93% audience score with a ‘Verified Hot’ badge. It follows the success of another Pixar hit, which became one of their most popular films ever.
