With Season 2 of The Pitt nearing its conclusion, plans for Season 3 are already taking shape. The show’s creator and star has shared some hints about what’s coming next, including whether the story will jump forward in time again. While the current episodes center around the Fourth of July and related injuries, the next season promises a shift to much colder circumstances.
Noah Wyle, star and executive producer of The Pitt, recently told Variety that the show won’t have such long gaps between seasons when it returns next year. Instead of jumping ahead ten months, the new season will continue the story within the same year – specifically, during winter. So, while previous episodes featured injuries from heat and fireworks, the next installments will focus on cases caused by the dangers of cold weather.
We’re only looking to fast-forward to a different time of year – specifically, to see how changes in weather affect the types of situations we handle. For example, if things are busy during the summer, we want to understand what happens when winter brings cold weather, snow, and icy conditions.
More to come.
