After a long hiatus, The X-Files returned in 2016 with two new seasons, bringing back David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as the iconic duo. Interestingly, before the 2016 season aired, The X-Files actually had an earlier, official tenth season comprised of entirely separate stories.

The 2015 action thriller, directed by Denis Villeneuve (known for Dune), marked writer Taylor Sheridan’s impressive first screenplay. As she gets deeper into the operation, the agent discovers things aren’t what they appear and is forced to confront difficult moral choices.

The show first launched in July 2019 and has been consistently produced ever since, even expanding with two spin-offs: Diabolical and Gen V. But it’s the original The Boys that viewers are most excited about, and like other shows on Prime Video, new episodes will be released each week.

Andy Serkis, known for his roles in Marvel films, will return as Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne’s trusted butler and guardian, in the sequel to The Batman.
