Though not a household name, actor Anthony Boyle is gaining momentum as a potential successor to Daniel Craig as James Bond. You might recognize him from roles in films like *Tolkien* (2019) with Nicholas Hoult, *Tetris* alongside Taron Egerton, and the WWII series *Masters of the Air*. Boyle has also received critical acclaim for his stage work, winning a Laurence Olivier Award and earning a Tony Award nomination for playing Scorpius Malfoy in *Harry Potter and the Cursed Child*.

It’s not any supporting role that’s boosted Boyle’s career; it’s his leading part in the historical drama *House of Guinness*. He also seems like a better fit for the role than many of the current frontrunners. Being in his early 30s, he’d bring a fresh perspective – something Amazon reportedly wants in their next Bond.

Among the actors being considered for the role, Boyle is up against some familiar faces. These include Aaron Taylor-Johnson, known for *28 Years Later*, Theo James from *The Gentlemen*, and Austin Butler, who starred in *Caught Stealing*. Harris Dickinson, of *The King’s Man*, is also a strong contender, with rumors suggesting Amazon favors him. Rounding out the frontrunners is Callum Turner, Boyle’s co-star in *Masters of the Air*.
