Mortal Kombat 2’s Epic Popcorn Bucket With Shao Kahn Helmet Revealed

Ahead of its release, the new movie Mortal Kombat 2 is generating buzz with a special popcorn bucket shaped like the helmet of Shao Kahn, the film’s main villain. Other themed popcorn buckets and treats will also be available at the concession stand.

To get fans excited for the new Mortal Kombat 2 movie, special popcorn buckets and other merchandise featuring iconic characters and designs from the game are coming to theaters. These items will be available at major cinema chains as the movie’s release date gets closer.

A standout item in the collection is a Shao Kahn-themed popcorn bucket shaped like his helmet. The bucket is modeled after the villain’s distinctive skeletal samurai mask, representing his status as the Emperor of Outworld and a key opponent in the movie. Martyn Ford plays Shao Kahn, and the bucket will be available for purchase at AMC, Cinemark, and Regal cinemas.

Fans can also get a collectible tin designed like an old-school arcade game. It’s inspired by the original Mortal Kombat games and features the franchise’s signature green and black colors. You’ll be able to find it at AMC and Cinemark theaters.

Fans can also get a special Johnny Cage popcorn bucket shaped like a movie clapperboard, inspired by Karl Urban’s portrayal of the character. The bucket opens at the top, holds a large size of popcorn, and has a message on it saying, “To my biggest fan, Cage.” It will only be available at Cinemark theaters and can be purchased as part of a combo with a 44-ounce drink.

Fans can also get a special Grippr cup decorated with dragons that glows green, showcasing characters Johnny Cage and Kitana (played by Adeline Rudolph). Cinemark and Regal will also offer a green popcorn bucket featuring the black dragon logo.

Mortal Kombat 2 is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 8, 2026.
