Marvel Studios Confirms Historic Marvel Netflix Crossover In Daredevil Born Again Season 2

The midseason trailer for Daredevil: Born Again revealed a major detail about Jessica Jones, hinting at a crossover between the Marvel TV and Netflix universes. This season of the Charlie Cox-led series will reunite Daredevil and Jessica Jones on screen for the first time since 2017’s The Defenders, generating excitement and leading fans to wonder if Luke Cage and Iron Fist will also appear.

Even though Sana Amanat, an executive producer on Daredevil: Born Again, previously said that the Heroes for Hire wouldn’t be featured in the second season, the latest trailer strongly suggests that Jessica Jones and Luke Cage will still be connected in some way.

Okay, so I was watching the midseason trailer for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, and Jessica Jones completely blew my mind at the 1:06 mark! She casually drops that she’s a mom now, telling Matt that someone just showed up at her place…with her daughter! I seriously did a double-take; it was a total shocker!

Matt checked if Jessica was alright, but she angrily replied that she was furious. This led to Daredevil and Jessica Jones teaming up to fight against Mayor Fisk’s task force, which was created to stop vigilantes.

The trailer didn’t show the name of Jones’ daughter, but fans think it might be Danielle Cage, implying Luke Cage is her father, just like in the Marvel comics.

I’m so excited about this new development! It definitely feels like they’re building towards Luke Cage appearing soon, and I’m guessing we might see him as early as episode 2 or 6 of Daredevil: Born Again – the same episode where Jessica Jones is rumored to make her debut. I can’t wait!

Photos taken on the set of Daredevil: Born Again have revealed that Luke Cage (played by Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (played by Finn Jones) will be returning. This means the new season will feature a major crossover, bringing together the four original Defenders heroes – Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist – within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Bringing Luke Cage and Iron Fist into Daredevil: Born Again is a huge win for the more realistic, street-level stories Marvel is telling. It paves the way for a grittier, more connected universe featuring the Defenders.

Why Jessica Jones Being a Mother Is a Big Deal for the MCU

The reveal that Jessica Jones has a child in the Daredevil: Born Again series is a compelling twist. It changes her story from one of a solitary hero to a more relatable one with a lot at stake personally. Plus, it cleverly connects to the wider Marvel universe by naturally incorporating Luke Cage, rather than just a quick, unnecessary appearance.

I’m so excited to see the Defenders back together in Daredevil: Born Again! What really adds a whole new layer to everything is Jessica’s role as a mom now. It’s not just about these four broken heroes fighting crime anymore – they’re also protecting a little girl, Luke and Jessica’s daughter, and making sure she has a future. It’s way more personal, and honestly, I think it’s going to make the team dynamic even more interesting.

This new information makes the threat of Martial Law under Mayor Fisk feel much more urgent and personal, explaining why Jessica is compelled to get involved – she needs to protect her daughter, no matter what it costs. Becoming a mother adds depth to Jessica’s character and sets the stage for a powerful story arc in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 and beyond in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
