Although it’s disappointing that The Lincoln Lawyer has ended, fans can still enjoy adaptations of Michael Connelly’s books. His work has been successfully adapted for other platforms, like Bosch, which became a popular franchise on Prime Video and significantly raised Connelly’s profile. With both Bosch and The Lincoln Lawyer concluding their runs, the world of Connelly adaptations – and the crime drama genre in general – is entering a new phase.

While Avatar: The Last Airbender is a show worth rewatching, some episodes aren’t as essential as others. Seasons 1 and 3 have more of these slower-paced installments, while season 2 is consistently strong in moving the story and developing its characters. These less crucial episodes aren’t necessarily bad, but they don’t add as much to the overall experience, making them easy to skip on a rewatch.

It’s clear they always intended to continue the story, especially with that huge cliffhanger at the end of Season 1! Because she’s involved with the show creatively, she let slip that they’ve been discussing Season 2 and are really hoping to get it approved soon. Fingers crossed we get more Ponies!

Rounding out the offerings are the new horror film Strung and the third season of the thriller The Capture.

I just love when a book I adore gets turned into a movie! There’s something magical about seeing the story you imagined play out on screen. Book adaptations have been around basically since movies began, and to me, these five films perfectly show just how amazing a good book-to-movie adaptation can be.

Paramount has confirmed not only a fourth Sonic movie, scheduled for March 19, 2027, but also a Sonic spinoff film coming to theaters on December 22, 2028. Currently, details about the spinoff’s plot or cast are still unknown.

The show presented a realistic take on superpowered individuals, suggesting they wouldn’t be inspiring figures like Spider-Man, but dangerous people like Homelander.

The crime thriller debuted at the Telluride Film Festival last year and is now showing in select U.S. theaters, starting May 22nd, with plans for a wider release on May 29th. It quickly gained popularity, earning positive reviews from both critics and audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.
