It’s been reported that certain stars from the “Avengers: Endgame” have completed their shooting for the forthcoming film, with whispers suggesting a possible explanation behind this early wrap-up.

What is the latest Avengers: Doomsday rumor?

Based on a recent post from insider Daniel Richtman, it appears that the numerous cast members have seemingly completed filming for Doomsday due to Marvel Studios continuing to refine the film’s script. Richtman also mentioned that if necessary, they may return later for additional shooting scenes in relation to the movie.

The report emerged a few days ago, following Alan Cumming’s (the actor portraying Nightcrawler) announcement that he had completed additional filming for the movie. However, it remains unknown which other actors have wrapped up shooting or if they are required to return. It appears that the main cast is still working on finishing up Doomsday.

The lineup for Avengers: Doomsday is set to be impressively extensive, featuring a number of notable actors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Confirmed so far are Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby portraying Invisible Woman/Sue Storm, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Letitia Wright as Shuri/Black Panther, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, and Ryan Reynolds in the role of Deadpool.

The following actors have been cast in the upcoming movie, playing characters such as Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent/John Walker, Tenoch Huerta as Namor, Ebon Moss-Bachrach portraying The Thing/Ben Grimm, Simu Liu taking on the role of Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Kelsey Grammer starring as Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast, Lewis Pullman as Bob/Sentry, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/Falcon, Joseph Quinn playing Johnny Storm/Human Torch, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost, and Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki.

In the forthcoming film, several characters from the X-Men franchise are set to reappear, such as Charles Xavier played by Patrick Stewart, Magneto played by Ian McKellen, Nightcrawler played by Alan Cumming, Mystique played by Rebecca Romijn, Cyclops played by James Marsden, and Gambit portrayed by Channing Tatum.

In U.S. cinemas, the epic film “Avengers: Doomsday” will be screened on December 18, 2026, as part of Phase 6 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The sequel, “Avengers: Secret Wars,” is set for release a year later on December 17, 2027. Before these two movies, fans can catch “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” hitting the screens earlier on July 31, 2026.
