The video begins with Willa Holland as Rebecca Owens, a mortician, going about her work at the River Fields Mortuary. She’s shown cleaning up after a procedure, following a checklist for her night shift. When she goes to the basement to restock supplies, she’s surprised by her boss, Raymond Delver (played by Paul Sparks), who steps out of the darkness. He immediately stops her from proceeding, and the clip ends by hinting at a disturbing reason why that part of the mortuary is off-limits.

News of the show first came out in March 2023, but it hasn’t been released yet. Given his previous successful projects, Ryan Coogler is well-equipped to handle it, and his commitment to the reboot is encouraging. He recently told The Hollywood Reporter that he’s still in the process of writing the series.

Ebaster attended the event and spoke with several nominees, including Diane Warren, a songwriter nominated for 17 Oscars, Mark Sonnenblick, who co-wrote lyrics for the film KPop Demon Hunters and has been nominated for an Academy Award, and Brandon Roberts, the Emmy-nominated composer of Andor. They discussed their musical work, who they collaborate with, and what inspires them.

Throughout the show’s evolution, Sheldon Cooper remained its central figure. His friendship with Leonard was the foundation of the entire series, and while the other characters in Pasadena were all likable, Sheldon’s unique personality always took center stage. The prequel series, Young Sheldon, further highlighted this, giving him the most developed and comprehensive storyline of anyone in the original show. However, the show also contained what creator Chuck Lorre considers his biggest creative misstep.
