What truly makes great post-apocalyptic anime stand out isn’t just that society has collapsed, but the kind of world that remains afterward – a world stripped of everything that once made life comfortable. Some of these ruined worlds might initially seem okay, or even strangely pleasant, but a darker reality quickly emerges, revealing just how harsh and unforgiving they actually are.

With the current season of the popular CBS show nearing its end, Justin Hartley’s character, Colter Shaw, is still working on individual cases while also getting closer to solving the long-standing mystery of his father, Ashton Shaw’s, murder – a case that has greatly impacted his life. The season finale of Tracker will bring back Jensen Ackles as Colter’s brother, Russell.

The first three episodes of the fifth and final season of the Prime Video series The Boys are now streaming. Based on the comic book by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson and developed for television by Eric Kripke, the show concludes its run with these new episodes.

It follows American journalist Charlie Cannon and his wife, Larissa, who are devastated when their daughter, Katie, vanishes. Eight years later, they’re stunned to find her alive inside an ancient sarcophagus. But as they try to reconnect with Katie, they notice strange and increasingly disturbing changes in her behavior.

The new animated movie, originally known as The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, continues the story of the popular Nickelodeon series Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005–2008). It was planned for cinemas, but will now premiere on Paramount+ this October. Unfortunately, a high-quality version of the entire film has reportedly been leaked online.

Luckily, Cox and D’Onofrio have improved every Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) TV show and movie they’ve been in since reprising their roles. Because of this, Daredevil: Born Again is now the most anticipated project for fans who enjoyed the earlier Netflix Marvel shows. The Disney+ series has brought back many familiar faces from that period, including Jon Bernthal as the Punisher.

The upcoming movie, The Mandalorian and Grogu, will feature familiar faces from Star Wars, like Garazeb Orrelios, Embo, and Rotta the Hutt. There’s potential for even more well-known characters to appear as the story unfolds, and their inclusion would fit well with the plot when the movie is released next month.

The movie The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, based on Ann Brashares’ 2001 book, came out in 2005, and a second movie followed in 2008. Twelve years ago, there were talks about making a third film based on the book Sisterhood Everlasting, but the studio never confirmed it.

This year’s LESFF posters were created with a font inspired by the beautiful marquee sign of the Village East Cinema. The festival, which captures the energy of New York City, started in 2011 and has been expanding each year.

Adria Arjona, who gained recognition for her role as Bix Caleen in the popular Star Wars series Andor, has been cast as the alien queen Maxima in Man of Tomorrow. This isn’t the first time she’s worked with director James Gunn – they previously collaborated on The Belko Experiment in 2016. But her impressive performance in Andor likely helped secure her the role alongside David Corenswet and the rest of the cast. With this new role, Arjona joins a select group of actors who have appeared in both the DC Universe and the Star Wars galaxy.
