The episode “The Encounter” was removed from broadcast because of its deeply flawed and offensive portrayal of race. This might come as a surprise to dedicated viewers of The Twilight Zone, the celebrated horror series known for its forward-thinking views and tackling of difficult topics. However, despite good intentions, this episode was a significant error in judgment.

The K-drama WONDERFools is part of a growing trend: superhero parodies set in everyday life, where characters have strange and often over-the-top powers. The new CBS series is the latest addition to the popular FBI franchise and comes from the team behind the original show, including Dick Wolf and showrunner Mike Weiss. Starring Tom Ellis (known from Lucifer) and Nick Gehlfuss (One Chicago), the series centers on FBI Special Agent Bill Goodman, a by-the-book investigator, and CIA Agent Colin Glass, who is more mysterious. They unexpectedly team up as part of a new joint task force, all while Goodman investigates the possibility of a mole within their ranks.

According to reports, Firebird Pictures has acquired the rights to adapt Fay Weldon’s 1980 novel, Puffball, which was previously made into a 2007 film starring Reilly. Morgan Lloyd Malcolm, a playwright known for their Olivier Award-winning work, is writing the script for the new television series. The project is currently in development and doesn’t have a home on a network or streaming service yet, and no actors have been cast.

Early on, the biggest questions fans had about the show revolved around the characters’ backstories. The series quickly started revealing these stories through its famous flashbacks. Even though viewers questioned everything happening on the island, they generally accepted the flashbacks as truthful. Perhaps they shouldn’t have. Close attention to the dialogue within these flashback scenes reveals small inconsistencies – things that should align if the scenes depict the same events. While many fans assumed these were simple errors, they could have been clues that the flashbacks weren’t straightforward and were instead shaped by each character’s perspective.

Despite its issues, Bleach truly shines in its best moments. These scenes are so visually impressive and emotionally powerful that they instantly remind you why the series became so popular worldwide. Unforgettable moments – like shocking betrayals, perfectly executed power-ups, and deeply moving sacrifices – lift the series above any weaknesses it might have.

According to Nielsen data reported by Deadline, the season 8 finale of The Rookie drew 9.25 million viewers when combining traditional TV and streaming. This represents a 4% increase from the 8.93 million who watched the season 7 finale, and it was the most-streamed episode of the series in a week.

Martin Scorsese’s career with crime films started in 1972 with Boxcar Bertha, but it was Mean Streets that really launched him in the genre. Many viewers online have expressed disappointment, particularly with the amount of screen time given to Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), what they feel are unnecessary episodes that don’t advance the plot, and a lack of action compared to previous seasons. This dissatisfaction led to episode 7, “The Frenchman, The Female, and the Man Called Mother’s Milk,” receiving the lowest IMDb rating in the show’s history, currently at 6.5/10.

Even in its early stages, Subnautica 2 is receiving positive feedback, with many players considering it a strong follow-up to the original game, despite the changes being mostly small improvements.
