Ahsoka Season 2 Release Window Officially Confirmed By Disney

Ahsoka is coming back for round two.

Disney+’s Ahsoka series quickly became a hit, attracting over 14 million viewers in its first five days. A key to its success was bringing popular animated Star Wars characters into live-action, and critics generally loved it, giving the show an 85% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

I’m so excited! Disney just announced that the live-action Star Wars series, Ahsoka, starring Rosario Dawson, is coming back in early 2027. Rosario herself shared the news and hinted that this season is going to be huge – she said the battles will be bigger and the stakes will be even higher! I read about it on Deadline and can’t wait!

Dave Filoni, the creator of Ahsoka, along with some of the actors, recently shared a first look at the upcoming season and talked about how it was made. Fans can expect large-scale galactic battles in season 2, which is a highly anticipated continuation of the story following the first season’s finale last October. The return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker is generating a lot of excitement.

Okay, so things are shifting around in the upcoming series. It’s sad news that Ray Stevenson won’t be back, but Rory McCann – you might recognize him from Game of Thrones – is stepping in to play Jedi Babylon Skol. And good news for fans of the original trilogy: Admiral Ackbar is apparently returning! Dave Filoni has teased that Ackbar will be facing off directly against Thrawn, which sounds like a really exciting clash.

More to come…
