Barbara Muschietti, co-creator and executive producer of the upcoming *Welcome to Derry* series, recently told Entertainment Weekly that the 2023 Hollywood strikes halted production for nearly a year. When filming finally restarted, the crew immediately faced a surprising challenge: the young actors had all grown significantly during the break. “From the moment we started shooting, clothes didn’t fit, and they’d grown inches!” Muschietti explained. “We were just waiting for the strike to end so we could start filming right away.”

Directed by Francis Lawrence and based on Stephen King’s early novel *The Long Walk*, this story takes place in a bleak 1970s America. It centers around fifty teenage boys, each chosen randomly from a different state, who compete in a televised annual event. The boys must walk at a steady pace of three miles per hour, or face deadly consequences after three warnings. They continue walking until only one remains, who then wins wealth and gets to have any wish granted.

When *Stranger Things* debuted on Netflix in 2016, Noah Schnapp was only 11 years old. Because of this, he – along with many of the other actors – grew up playing these characters, and naturally formed close bonds, especially with his on-screen mother, Winona Ryder. Schnapp recently shared with Variety how emotional it was to finish filming Season 5, recalling the difficult goodbye.

Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as Ben Richards, an inmate who gets a chance at freedom by competing on the show. However, the show’s host, Damon Killian – played by the late Richard Dawson, known for hosting *Family Feud* – has no intention of letting him win.

Though not a household name, actor Anthony Boyle is gaining momentum as a potential successor to Daniel Craig as James Bond. You might recognize him from roles in films like *Tolkien* (2019) with Nicholas Hoult, *Tetris* alongside Taron Egerton, and the WWII series *Masters of the Air*. Boyle has also received critical acclaim for his stage work, winning a Laurence Olivier Award and earning a Tony Award nomination for playing Scorpius Malfoy in *Harry Potter and the Cursed Child*.

In a recent interview with *The Playlist* about the upcoming *It: Welcome to Derry* series, director Andy Muschietti discussed his work on *The Flash*. He expressed continued pride in the DC film, stating that despite its difficult reception, he and the team remained positive. “We just moved on,” Muschietti explained, “understanding that sometimes projects face challenges, but we’re very proud of the work we did and I think it’s a good movie.”
