Marvel Studios recently revealed its first MCU series planned for 2026, and it’s a bit of a surprise. 2025 was already packed with new shows and animated series for the MCU, including titles like *Ironheart*, *Daredevil: Born Again*, *Eyes of Wakanda*, and *Marvel Zombies*. Originally, *Wonder Man* was also intended to premiere on Disney+ in 2025.
The upcoming Disney+ series *Wonder Man* will add Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Williams is an actor and stuntman who develops superpowers. Although originally planned for a December 2025 release, the show’s schedule has recently been adjusted, and the new release date is currently unknown. Details about the plot are still being kept secret.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the debut of *Wonder Man* has been moved from December 2025 to January 2026. This makes it the first Marvel Cinematic Universe series to premiere on Disney+ in the new year.
Brad Winderbaum, who leads Marvel’s TV and animation departments, explained the decision in an interview, saying they were inspired by how *WandaVision* launched – also in January 2021.
“We don’t want it to get swallowed up by people watching Home Alone and Die Hardand Elf.”
Recently, Abdul-Mateen II revealed a new logo for the upcoming Disney+ series *Wonder-Man*. The logo is designed after the famous Hollywood sign in Los Angeles, building excitement for the show’s release.
As a huge Marvel fan, I was really excited to see the first teaser for *Wonder Man*! Marvel Studios dropped it just before their New York Comic Con panel, and it gives us a first look at Simon Williams. What’s especially cool is this is their first attempt at a series centered around the Hollywood scene – definitely a different vibe for them.
