The popular anime series *Delicious in Dungeon*, created by Studio Trigger, became available on Netflix in January 2024. Now, the same fantasy story is also being offered through Netflix’s new manga app.
Crunchyroll is now offering a new premium subscription add-on in the U.S. and Canada with a wide selection of popular manga series. Fans can enjoy titles like *Delicious in Dungeon* by Ryoko Kui, as well as *The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten*, *The Apothecary Diaries*, *Black Clover*, *Daemons of the Shadow Realm*, *One Piece*, *My Happy Marriage*, *Jujutsu Kaisen*, *Kaiju No. 8*, and *My Hero Academia*, and many more. The add-on launched on October 9, 2025, and is currently available as an app for iOS and Android devices. A web version will be released on October 15.
Crunchyroll Manga Finally Launches With Over 60 Major Series From Shonen Jump & More
Many of these manga have been adapted into anime series and are available on Crunchyroll, which boasts a library of over 1,000 titles. However, *Delicious in Dungeon* stands out because its anime adaptation is exclusively streamed on Netflix for viewers in North America. The story takes place in a fantastical world and follows Laio and his companions as they search for a legendary treasure hidden deep within the “Golden Country.” Their journey is interrupted when a dragon attacks, forcing them to teleport away and leaving them with limited supplies. Tragically, Laio’s sister, Falin, is eaten by the dragon. To rescue her, Laio and his party must venture back into the dungeon, surviving by eating the monsters they defeat and gathering what little food they can find on each level.
While *Delicious in Dungeon* includes action and humor, what really makes it stand out is its imaginative and mouthwatering food. The anime quickly became a hit in early 2024, racking up over 90.6 million views in just six months – surpassing popular series like *Spy x Family*, *Demon Slayer*, and *Jujutsu Kaisen*. Now that Crunchyroll owns the rights to the *Delicious in Dungeon* manga, fans can look forward to even more tasty adventures with Laios and his friends.
Crunchyroll is expanding its offerings with manga from popular publishers like AlphaPolis, Square Enix, Shueisha, J-Novel Club, VIZ Media, and Yen Press. According to Asa Suehira, Crunchyroll’s Chief Content Officer, the goal is to create a complete anime experience for fans, recognizing that manga and anime go hand-in-hand. Crunchyroll plans to eventually offer hundreds of manga titles from these leading publishers within the app.
The Crunchyroll manga app is an optional addition to all subscription plans. It costs $4.00 USD or $5.50 CAD for Crunchyroll Fan members, and $3.50 USD or $5.00 CAD for Mega Fan members. Ultimate Fan subscribers get the app included with their subscription at no extra charge.
