Sanrio Gives Hello Kitty, Kuromi & My Melody 3 Head-Turning New Designs

Target shoppers now have a cute new item to look forward to! TeeTurtle, known for its popular Cloudheads plushies, just released a Sanrio collection with designs inspired by Hello Kitty, Kuromi, and My Melody.

TeeTurtle recently released a new line of Sanrio Cloudheads plushies – Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Kuromi – at Target stores and online at Target.com. Available starting July 19th, these $9.99 toys are designed as cute, oversized-head companions perfect for desks, shelves, cars, or nightstands.

Hello Kitty, Kuromi & My Melody Get Oversized Makeovers in Exclusive New Target Collection

These adorable plush toys are about five inches tall and have a gently weighted body thanks to glass beads inside. A plastic insert in the bottom helps them sit up nicely for display. Made with TeeTurtle’s super-soft velboa fabric, they’re perfect for collecting, showing off, or just cuddling!

Hello Kitty is dressed in her iconic blue overalls and red bow, a look everyone recognizes. My Melody wears her usual pink hood with a yellow flower, and Kuromi keeps her playful, slightly rebellious look with her black jester hood decorated with a pink skull.

Instead of changing what the characters wear, this collection focuses on making their bodies look different – each plushie has a very large head and a small body.

TeeTurtle portrays Hello Kitty as a classic character known for her iconic bow. They describe My Melody as gentle, cute, and comforting, while Kuromi is presented as playful, edgy, and delightfully unpredictable.

Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Kuromi are still some of Sanrio’s most popular characters worldwide. Hello Kitty remains at the forefront of a hugely successful brand, and both My Melody and Kuromi have become even more popular internationally thanks to the upcoming 2025 Netflix series about them.

I’m so excited about this new release, especially because Sanrio is having an incredible year! The recent character poll was HUGE – over 70 million votes, which is a record after 41 years! And honestly, I’m loving Kuromi’s rise to popularity. She’s been consistently beating out even Hello Kitty and My Melody in the rankings since 2022, and it’s amazing to see! Of course, all three of them are still iconic characters everyone knows and loves around the world.

These new plushies build on TeeTurtle’s ongoing collaboration with Sanrio. Earlier this year, they launched products featuring Hello Kitty alongside strawberry-themed Cloudheads, which were only available at Michaels stores. In addition to Sanrio, TeeTurtle is adding more licensed characters to their collection throughout 2026, including those from One Piece, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Nickelodeon.

Sanrio is continuing its impressive growth, expanding beyond just products. Starting August 4th, Hello Kitty and friends will be available on Disney+, reaching a huge new audience through one of the biggest streaming services globally.

You can now find the TeeTurtle Sanrio Cloudheads collection at Target stores across the country and online at Target.com for just $9.99 apiece.
