Prime Video is offering a great selection of new releases this weekend. Last week, I highlighted three very different movies: The Boss Baby, Balls Up, and The Running Man. Thinking about how diverse those choices were sparked a new idea.
This time, I selected a group of movies perfect for a weekend watch on Prime Video. I aimed for films that would work well as a three-movie marathon, but also stand on their own. My picks include a heartbreaking book-to-film adaptation, the newest movie in a popular horror series, and a high-octane action film originally produced by Prime Video.
As a subscriber, I’m really excited about what’s available to watch this weekend! It looks like last week’s recommendations were spot-on, because all three movies are still super popular. Right now, The Boss Baby is at number 9 on Prime Video’s Top 10, Anyone But You is doing great at number 4, and Balls Up is actually number one! It’s great to see such good picks doing so well.
Looking for something to watch on Prime Video this weekend? We’ve got a few recommendations, including some films that were popular last week. Plus, one new movie could quickly become a hit and join the others on the most-watched list. Here’s what we suggest:
3. Vengeance (2026)
First up is Vengeance, a thrilling action movie that’s sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. This Prime Video original centers around Toro, a skilled military veteran seeking revenge for his wife’s murder. After becoming wealthy, he uses his fortune to fuel his dangerous pursuit.
The movie Vengeance is gaining popularity on Prime Video, currently ranking as the 8th most-watched film in the U.S. and 2nd globally, just behind Balls Up. Viewers are captivated by this fast-paced, thrilling story of revenge, and actor Omar Chaparro is earning praise for a dramatic role that showcases a different side of his talent.
2. The Conjuring: Last Rites (2025)
Now, let’s talk about The Conjuring: Last Rites. This new movie continues the popular horror series, and it brings back Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson for what appears to be their final case in the main storyline. While it might not be the scariest film in the series, The Conjuring: Last Rites offers compelling character development, sweet moments between the main actors, and some genuinely creepy scares as it reveals why a family fell apart.
Currently, The Conjuring: Last Rites is the third most popular movie on Prime Video in the US. With a 77% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, this 2025 installment offers a satisfying conclusion to Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga’s portrayal of Ed and Lorraine Warren, even if it doesn’t break new ground.
1. Regretting You (2025)
The movie Regretting You, based on Colleen Hoover’s popular novel, is now available on Prime Video, premiering this Friday, April 24th. With a strong cast – including Mckenna Grace, Mason Thames, Dave Franco, Allison Williams, Scott Eastwood, and Willa Fitzgerald – and a moving story, it’s expected to become a hit on the platform.
Following a devastating event, Grace’s character, Clara, embarks on a journey to find love and healing with Miller’s character. Meanwhile, Clara’s mother, Morgan (played by Williams), attempts to rediscover happiness by reconnecting with Jonah (Franco), but their path is filled with challenges. Regretting You promises to be an emotionally charged experience for Prime Video viewers, delivering a weekend finale full of ups and downs.
