has finally been given a sequel, but with a twist.
Legendary Comics will release Pacific Rim: Final Breach in May 2026. According to the publisher, the comic is a new story continuing the Pacific Rim saga in graphic novel format.
A new adventure is coming with fresh dangers for the world. “PACIFIC RIM: FINAL BREACH” tells the story of humanity facing its biggest threat yet, as the Precursors launch a massive wave of Kaiju attacks. After struggling for years to reach the Kaiju’s home dimension, Jake Pentecost and Hermann Gottlieb come up with a risky plan. It depends on finding Raleigh Becket, a legendary Jaeger pilot who once survived a mission behind enemy lines. Now living in hiding, Raleigh must decide whether to remain safe or face his past and join a new team piloting the Gipsy Destroyer – the last Jaeger left. As tensions rise and old conflicts resurface, the PPDC finally ventures through the breach to confront the enemy… and humanity’s fate hangs in the balance as they fight to prevent the apocalypse.
Pacific Rim Is In Dire Need Of A Comeback
With the huge popularity of giant robot and monster movies like Gundam and kaiju films, now is the ideal time for a Pacific Rim revival. While the 2013 and 2018 movies weren’t critical successes, Pacific Rim has a rich history beyond those films – many have forgotten the animated series Pacific Rim: The Black or the video game. A comic book offers the perfect opportunity for Pacific Rim to make a strong comeback and finally deliver the sequel fans have been waiting for.
Pacific Rim: Final Breach releases on May 5 from Legendary Comics.
