Despite winning an Oscar, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers hasn’t appeared on HBO Max’s top ten movie list across the country in 2026. The last time it made the list was December 31, 2025, when it reached number seven. It hasn’t been featured since.
Following the original Lord of the Rings films, Warner Bros. released three movies based on The Hobbit. More recently, the franchise continued with the Prime Video series, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which has been picked up for a third season.
