To celebrate its 25th anniversary, a new movie in the popular franchise will be released in theaters this year. The first film, directed by Christopher Columbus, premiered on November 16, 2001, and launched the Warner Bros. franchise that has since earned $7.7 billion worldwide.
As a huge cinema fan, I was thrilled to read that Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is coming back to theaters! Apparently, from August 27th to September 3rd, it’ll be shown in a bunch of countries, and they’re adding 10 minutes of brand-new behind-the-scenes footage that we’ve never seen on the big screen before. Plus, Warner Bros. is promising some surprises during the screenings, which they’ll announce later this year. They even released a new poster to celebrate the film’s 25th anniversary – it’s really exciting!
With the return of The Sorcerer’s Stone to theaters, a year full of special events is planned. From March through May, Warner Bros. will be sending out trucks filled with butterbeer to cities around the world, letting fans purchase the popular drink and related merchandise.
