For more than ten years, Marvel Studios has dramatically changed how comic book movies are made. They started with individual films featuring characters like Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America, but they were always planning something larger – a level of interconnected storytelling never before seen in movies. This culminated in The Avengers, a film that brought all their heroes together, set box office records, and launched a new wave of comic book adaptations.
Following the success of team-up movies like The Avengers, Marvel Studios is planning more large-scale collaborations with Doomsday and Secret Wars on the way. A reboot of the X-Men franchise is also planned. After Secret Wars reshapes the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a lesser-known hero could potentially kick off a brand new team-up series.
Blue Marvel Could Lead the Ultimates in the MCU’s Next Saga
I first discovered Adam Brashear back in 2008 when he showed up in the Marvel comics, and he’s quickly become a really important character in that universe. I’m hoping we’ll see him in the MCU soon! He’s a war veteran, but he’s not just tough – he’s brilliant and has these incredible, almost god-like powers. He’s a really compelling hero.
Okay, so Blue Marvel is seriously powerful. I first learned about him and found out he got his abilities from messing around with an anti-matter reactor – it gave him everything: super strength, the ability to fly, he ages super slow, and he’s incredibly smart. Honestly, he’s like if you mashed Captain America, Superman, and Mr. Fantastic together, but he’s still totally his own character, which is awesome. And get this – he actually cured Galactus! He didn’t just beat him, he turned him into this being called the Lifebringer who creates planets instead of eating them. That’s a storyline I’d love to see in the next phase of the MCU, for real.
As a huge Marvel fan, I’m so excited to think about what teams Marvel Studios might put together next, and I’m really hoping they consider the Ultimates! They started as a fresh take on the Avengers in Marvel’s Ultimate universe, but the newer versions actually feel like they’d fit perfectly into the MCU. After the Secret Wars event back in 2015, Marvel Comics introduced an updated Ultimates team for the main Marvel universe, and it’s been awesome ever since.
The team – featuring Blue Marvel, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Ms. America, and Spectrum – was assembled to prevent dangers from outer space from reaching Earth.
Marvel Studios May Already Have the Perfect Actor for Blue Marvel
What’s next for Marvel Studios after Avengers: Secret Wars is still unknown, but Ryan Coogler is confirmed to return as writer and director for a future film. The sequel will feature Denzel Washington, the acclaimed, two-time Oscar winner, marking a significant addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
There’s a lot of discussion about what role Michael B. Jordan might take next in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Some fans think he’d be perfect as Magneto, while others suggest characters like Bashenga or Changamire. A more unexpected choice could be Blue Marvel, who, despite being around 80 years old, looks much younger thanks to his abilities.
Despite being in his seventies, Denzel Washington still thrives in action roles, making him a believable choice for a Marvel superhero. Plus, introducing the Blue Marvel character in the next Black Panther movie could pave the way for the creation of the Ultimates team – a group he’s a part of in the comics. Blue Marvel is a character perfectly suited for the MCU, and Washington has the talent to not only portray him well but also elevate the role.
