The 6 Big Disney+ Shows Releasing In the Rest of 2025

Disney+ still has six big new shows coming out in the next few weeks. With hits like Andor Season 2 already released this year, Disney is continuing to provide high-quality shows based on popular franchises. The final months of the year promise a lot of exciting new content that fans are eager to watch.

Disney+ has announced six new movies and series coming out before the end of 2025. While the studio is already looking ahead to a big 2026, they’re finishing strong this year with projects from popular franchises like Star Wars, as well as stories featuring beloved Disney characters and heroes.

Significant Disney+ Releases Remaining for 2025

Star Wars Visions Volume 3

Star Wars: Visions is a collection of original animated short films. Each film tells a standalone story, either set within the Star Wars galaxy or drawing inspiration from it. Created by various animation studios with different styles, the series showcases unique stories and characters from across the Star Wars universe.

Similar to its first two seasons, Season 3 of Visions won’t be considered part of the main Star Wars storyline. However, the new season will revisit three episodes from Season 1, giving longtime viewers a chance to see how those stories continue and offering some closure.

All nine episodes of Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 will debut on Disney+ on Wednesday, October 29.

Seventeen: Our Chapter

“Seventeen: Our Chapter” is a four-part documentary series that follows the popular South Korean boy band SEVENTEEN, showcasing their experiences since they first began performing in May 2015. The group, which has 13 members, is famous for writing, choreographing, and directing their own music, spanning a variety of genres including K-pop.

I’m so excited for this new series! It’s going to be amazing to finally see what life has been like for the band over the last ten years – everything from their incredible world tours and meeting fans, to the making of their album, “Happy Burstday.” It’s been a while since they did a longer video project like “SEVENTEEN: Hit The Road” back in 2020, so I can’t wait to hear all about what they’ve been up to and see how much they’ve grown over the past five years!

As a big fan of Seventeen, I’m so excited to share that their docuseries, Seventeen: Our Chapter, is coming to Disney+! It’s four episodes long, and they’ll be released every Friday in November 2025. The first episode drops on November 7th, so mark your calendars, Carats!

Disney Twisted Wonderland: The Animation

As a huge fan of the mobile game, I was really excited about Disney Twisted Wonderland: The Animation. The story follows Yuu, an ordinary high school student who gets pulled into this magical world called Twisted-Wonderland through a mysterious mirror. The catch? Yuu can’t use magic! So, they have to navigate this school for magicians, Night Raven College, and deal with all sorts of monsters and powerful students, all while trying to figure out how to get back home. It’s a really unique premise and I’m loving it so far!

The school has seven dorms, each themed after a different Disney villain. The story follows the main character, Yuu, as they meet the most popular students living in each dorm. Currently, the series is planned to have three seasons, with each season adapting one of the first three story arcs – called ‘Books’ – from the original mobile game.

The first episode of Disney Twisted Wonderland: The Animation will be available on Disney+ starting Wednesday, November 5th, with new episodes released every Wednesday until November 26th.

The Beatles Anthology

The Beatles Anthology offers a unique and intimate look at the legendary band, featuring firsthand accounts from John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. The documentary explores the band’s travels throughout Europe and the world, revealing new stories behind their most popular songs and how they worked together.

Peter Jackson, the director of Lord of the Rings, and his company, Park Road Post, remastered the footage for this series, adding an extra episode to bring the total to nine. Originally broadcast on UK television in November and December 1995, the series now features updated visuals and offers viewers a deeper look at the Beatles’ incredible journey to fame.

The Beatles Anthology will have a three-episode premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, November 26.

Percy Jackson Season 2

Following the success of its first season in 2024, Disney+ has renewed Percy Jackson and the Olympians for a second season. The new season will be based on Rick Riordan’s second book, Sea of Monsters, and will follow Percy and his friends as they journey to the Bermuda Triangle in search of the magical Golden Fleece to protect Camp Half-Blood.

I’m really excited to hear Walker Scobell is coming back as Percy Jackson for Season 2! Aryan Simhadri and Leah Sava Jeffries will be back as Grover and Annabeth, which is awesome. We’ll also see some familiar faces returning from the first season, plus a couple of new ones – Beatrice Kitsos as Allison Simms, a character they created for the show, which is cool. It’s a little sad, but Courtney B. Vance is taking over the role of Zeus after the passing of Lance Reddick, and I’m sure he’ll do an amazing job.

Percy Jackson Season 2 will begin streaming on Disney+ on December 10.

Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair

Disney is bringing back the popular sitcom Malcolm in the Middle with a new series called Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair. Set in the present day, the show will catch up with Malcolm as he navigates fatherhood and attends his parents’ 40th wedding anniversary, twenty years after the original series ended in 2006.

Frankie Muniz will be back as Malcolm in the show’s revival, reuniting with Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek, who played his parents, Hal and Lois. Christopher Masterson and Justin Berfield are also returning as Malcolm’s brothers, Francis and Reese. Kiana Madeira will play Malcolm’s girlfriend, and Caleb Ellsworth-Clark will take on the role of Dewey, replacing Erik Per Sullivan, who stopped acting in 2010.

The revival of Malcolm in the Middle, titled Life’s Still Unfair, is coming to Disney+ in December, but we don’t have an exact date yet.
