Spider-Man 3 Video Game Seemingly Leaked by Actor

An actor recently shared a photo online that might have accidentally revealed the upcoming release of a highly awaited PlayStation game.

What was the Spider-Man 3 video game leak?

I recently spotted a fun post from Ben Jordan, the actor who brings Peter Parker to life in Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man games. He shared a picture on Instagram of himself in a motion-capture suit, actually doing Spider-Man’s iconic web-slinging hand gestures! He captioned it with a playful “IYKYK” and a spider emoji – a little wink to the fans who understand the behind-the-scenes work that goes into bringing the character to life. It’s a cool peek behind the curtain, and definitely made me smile.

After a story briefly appeared online before being taken down, fans quickly jumped to the conclusion that Jordan was collaborating with Insomniac on another Spider-Man project. This fueled excitement and strongly suggested that Insomniac had begun work on Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, the next installment in the popular series. While it’s possible the project could be something else Spider-Man related, Insomniac recently announced they’d finished working on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, making the start of a third game the most probable explanation.

It’s also possible this work relates to a cameo appearance in Insomniac’s upcoming Wolverine game. While a cameo in the main game seems improbable, it could be part of unannounced future downloadable content. Either way, it looks like Yuri Lowenthal is returning as Spider-Man, and Insomniac is continuing its work with the famous Marvel hero.

Insomniac Games hasn’t announced Spider-Man 3 yet, so we don’t know when it will be released. Considering there was a five-year gap between the first and second games (including the release of a spin-off title), the third game might not arrive until 2028 or even later.
